  • Hi guys,

We've had an update from BT about the £75 cashback delay.

Due to an error in processing between BT and their affiliates, this has caused a delay in the cheques being issued. However, they have informed us today that for all those who have been installed correctly, the cheques have now been sent out and we should be looking at Monday or early next week for receipt.

For those who are having further issues with installation or cancellation, BT will be proactively contacting those affected to arrange a solution.

    Thanks,

    MSE Ryan

  • Thanks for the update Ryan on the £75 cheque. I hit a brick wall also with BT on that front. Filled out the £40 cheque form the other day but put ' MSE £75 ' in the box where it said which link I had used.
I was pleasantly surprised that I received my giftcard so quickly though. However having taken out a BT inifinty 1 package I should have recieved £100 but the card I have only has £50 on it.
24 days later, BT are still investigating it. I allowed time for the xmas period but getting annoyed now.

****So everyone else, check your gift card is for the correct value before using it. I did have a link online where I could check the value without registering it but seem to have mislaid it. ****

What a bloomin farce, it would be laughable if its wasn't so serious . Im sorry to hear of the incorrect value gift card sent to you, and hope you get it resolved very quickly. Thanks very much for the heads-up , really appreciated

BTW is this the link you were looking for?

  • I think that was the link. However I didnt have to register the card against my nectar account when I checked last time. I was just able to check the balance. Possible that Sainsburys have changed it since I looked at it in Dec. Thanks for trying though

This sort of thing is why I never go for cashback when it is the biggest part of the offer. Without the cashback, BT's actual prices are the most expensive there is, and effectively you are accepting those prices with the risk that you may not even get the cashback for a multitude of reasons.

It's not uncommon for Quidco to completely fail to track, and even when it does track often the companies won't pay up for some reason or think you owe you less. Quidco are also totally uninterested in complaints and side with the company every time.

I really don't understand the obsession with sites like Quidco. I hate them and wish they would just go away and be replaced with companies actually giving you decent offers upfront rather than making you jump through hoops for them.

I actually did think the BT cashback deal looked very good, and did consider it, but decided against it because of how difficult cashback often is.

Reading the huge amount of recent bad reviews on BT's Quidco page, I'm glad I didn't bother.

Super post ZTT, you nailed that and I can't agree more, fingers crossed I will receive the cash back offers, but even if I do I won't ever factor these tracked offers when I'm looking to change service providers, it just too easy to be 'had'

    Cheers again

  • Hi

Has anyone received the £75 cashback yet? We haven't!!

    Thanks
  • No cheque for us yet either :-(

Top tip on the Sainsbury's cards: There's no need to register on the Sainsbury's site to check the balance. Just scan the QR code on the card and it will provide a hyperlink to a page which tells you the balance.
