well to increase the warranty (or usage) from one mth , to 6 mths at least , take them back to apple under warranty,
products at there prices are supposed to be quality checked unlike tat on ebay, hell you pay enough for the "quality"
if it fails (genuine one) take it back!0 -

Given the genuine ones come with a years warranty I'm not sure reducing it to 1 or 6 months is a great idea....
The problem would be in many cases it will be user damaged so outside a warranty, but Sale of Goods Act says if it fails in the first 6 months its assumed to be a manufacturing fault.0 -
well after the 6mths you would have to claim it had a known fault , under the 6mths , straight swop
why should you pay for a new one , when the old is faulty and under warranty0 -
The problem with buying from Apple is that they expect you to go to one of their shops when things go wrong, I'm a 2 hour drive to the nearest one, and I would probably have to take a day off. It's just massive pain in the backside. I just want a bloody cable that works on my devices, I have 6 that runs on them in the household.0

buy one by mail-order , use it a week then return the old one by post in there packaging..
its not there fault that there shop was built in a place hard for you to get to , or open the only tines you work , we all have this problems with banks etc0 -
I have already done ordering online , they still want you to visit the store. And is it my fault their cables are crap? Banks generally have branches in most town and cities, and you can sort out most problems over the phone or in writing, ever tried that with Apple?0

well there is one answer and one answer only , stop using this (those) apple products and buy from a different manufacturer .
if you feel that contacting apple is hard , what would happen if other more important apple products broke?
its called voting with your feet.0 -

Seems a common issue. I work with many who are on the Apple train.
The failure of these cables seems a common point of conversation.
I have many micro usb cables and no failures yet from when Android first went to micro usb0 -

If you read my posts you would see that I need this for business as apps that I need are only on Apple, and as my Mac and work macs are leased we have no problem there as we have full onsite support. The problem are lightning cables, they break easily!
Shame people don't have any suggestions where to buy them through their experience, I only just noticed there's a phone section as well, maybe I'll go there and ask0 -
you will get the same answer on there , they will say buy genuine cables.
apple are made in china , throwaway and mind wateringly expensive for what you get.
one bad product in there range can shut down your company?
this is the reason why people buy PCs , loads of different makers , competing to get your custom by refining there products , the same with the phones/tablets.
you have got online/inhouse support for the macs , do they not , or will they not handle apple phones ? have you asked them
start thinking out of the box , rather that saying you will have to take a day off work.
if you can,t be bothered , just keep buying cables , the chances are that when apple upgrade the phone they will change the cables , so you have to buy new ones.
the answer to your question on page one , is buy genuine cables and use there warranty if they fail.
I,m out of here now0
