Vodafone new contract - swapping number from one sim to another
Based on having spent the last 3 hours dealing with Vodafone, I'm no longer convinced what I intend on doing is a good idea, but here goes.
What I want to do is purchase a new phone on a contract micro sim then take the sim out, transfer the new number to a standard sim, then put this into a blackberry.
Is that feasible and how simple is it to do? Thank you
I already have a well established contract phone with vodafone, I just want another contract, but I'd be happy for the new phone too as it is
only a few pounds dearer per month.
My wife wants another phone for work, she won't use a smartphone, we tried before, and the compromise is the blackberry I have. But this involves transferring the new number from a micro sim to a standard sim.
There are SIM only contracts, where you purchase minutes etc (just without the phone). This would give you the SIM size you want and for a few £ less.
THere are also SIM adaptors available on ebay. Not sure I would want one long term, but anyway...
.
I've been using a nano sim with a Noosy adapter ever since the iPhone 5 came out as a I swap between phones when working. I've never had a problem using them, just don't use the really cheap quality adapters as the sim can fall out.
