There's a service for the deaf ...... the user types on a keyboard and it is verbally relayed to the other person -and it goes back and forth.

Can't think of it's name offhand - Teletype , Telerelay something like that . I know for a fact Sky accept calls from this kind of service.

It'd be like any other call in clearing security - and then getting on with the call.......so sorry to disappoint you - but no discrimination !

I wonder how that works with someone who is profoundly deaf?
It sounds like (excuse pun) discrimination.

  • I took out a 12 month contract on 12 Oct.2014 so I assume that expires on 11 Oct.2015. As my 12 Sep.2015 DD will cover the period to 11 Oct. do I ring Sky to cancel on the 11th or 12th? Does anyone know whether there will there be any further charges if I ring up to cancel the contract on 11th or 12th Oct.?

Even if you are out of the minimum contract period ,you have to give notice of 31 days so you need to phone in September to ensure the 31 days coincides with the last of your 12 months.
