They have no chance of getting any money from you, but how the hell do you "accidentally" buy something on Ebay? that's nearly as silly as saying my cat did it.0

Well if they are inventing mystery emails that never appeared, do the same.
Tell them that under distance selling laws, you decided to cancel the transaction, therefore no money is owed, and no goods have been sent.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Because I didn't request a cancelation. But eBay policy says that they can't force me to pay. The seller can open a unpaid item report and the most I can get is a strike.0 -

Because I've sent them two replies to the first message after talking to eBay.
If I do I think I'll be asking for it.0 -
Yes, as far as I know, distance selling regulations cover all EU members, so a buyer has 14 days to change their mind and either not accept goods or return upon receipt.
Just ignore it and it will go away.
Personally, I'd be tempted to wind them up a bit, I hate getting threatened legally when it's pretty much an empty threat. Then again, the last time I did that they actually took me to court (not Ebay related), I won, and costs but it was still a pain. So, maybe don't wind them up!
They are in germany, I am not. So I really don't feel like going to court in germany. Or anywhere else for that matter.0 -

Seems to be a german thing this legal action
Can they take legal action or not? Im not in the uk. Or any other european member country for that matter.
Also I did not cancel the order. I had no idea how eBay worked back then. Not much better now. Never purchased anything from there except this.
But eBay says that it well within their policy. Because they can't force me to pay.0 -

They are saying that if it goes to court I will get extra fees and what not. As you can see the seller is getting only 19 euro. They are getting most of the money. Leaches.0 -
Are you sure they can't?

You can be sued as you entered into a contract and are in breech of the contract.
Your problem is you failed to Cancel, and this has cost the seller real financial loss.
If this does come to Court, you will lose. However it is unlikely they will go that far. But if it does, you will lose, probably just need to pay back the 19 euros at most, I don't think you can be forced to pay punitive costs.
Ebay policy does not override EU law. Ebay policy also says buyers should pay for items.
The lesson is - don't mess sellers around. Most sellers will not go as far as this one, but you have breached a Contract you entered, and you failed to exercise your cancellation right.
The fact that they are in Germany in neither here nor there.0
