So the BBC has a six year price freeze, yet Sky puts their fee up £36 in one year?! That is a quarter the cost of the whole licence fee! Still, I suppose the £5.1bn Premier League TV deal has to be paid for...0

You have a choice whether to purchase Sky or not though.
The "BBC bundle" is mandatory.0 -
This got me so angry when I read this this morning. I'm on a Variety bundle and I bet you anything they won't give me anything extra unless I upgrade. But then, I looked and actually the Original package is fine for me (it's not getting a price hike) so I'm going to downgrade and save myself £8 a month!
One more slight grip though. To upgrade you get a freephone number and Live chat. To downgrade you get a premium number only....0 -
It is so unfair that the price increase for Sports is lower than for Variety and Family when the ridiculous fees paid to the Premier League are probably the main reason for the increase. Time to cancel methinks0

Sky increase in September 2013 for me was 4.7%, in September 2014 5.1%; this will be 5.5% and starting from June. Clearly the cost of living is going up!0

Aren't there enough variety and family programmes on Freeview/Freesat, especially now there is iPlayer, ITVplayer, 4OD etc? You could always supplement it with Blu-ray rental from Lovefilm (£7.99 a month for two discs at a time unlimited) or streaming from Netflix (£6.99 a month).0 -
I'm on the MSE 40% off deal, from February 2015, so still inside the 60 day limit.
Not that it matters much, since the £3 increase should be reduced by 40%.0 -

Assuming Sky don't do what they're doing this year and raise the prices again after 9 months!:)MSE wrote:Sky Sports £1 increase £25
Sky Movies & Sky Sports £1.50 increase £34
Sky Movies & Sky Sports current price £33; therefore, £1.50 increase= £34.50

The reality for Sports subscribers for the coming season, is that increases to the Variety or Family Pack will apply to them, plus an additional £1 per month for Sports, in a season where Sky have lost the Champions League rights to BT Sport.:)0 -

Just go through on the freephone number and ask to be transferred to cancellations -It won't be a problem.
Personally I don't find live chat steller for anything though and would always call.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0
