Ryan Air Flight from UK. Anyway to pay it in Euro ??

It seems that all flight originated from the UK is quoted in £. Is there anyway to show this in Euro ?? I found that if they price is quoted in Euro the price will be slightly cheaper ....

If you book your return flight separately it will be priced in euros and will be considerably cheaper ;)

AFAIK Ryanair has always priced flights in the currency of the originating country, and you only have the option to pay in that currency or the currency of the card you're paying with (using DCC, so unlikely to be a favourable rate).

It used to be possible with Easyjet to select a return flight (priced in the currency of the originating country) then remove the outgoing leg, leaving the return part still in the same currency. However, I don't think this works any more.

There used to be a technique described on here with Ryanair where you had two windows open, although I'm not sure if it still works. You should find it with a search.

Easyjet still seems to work for me.

The only way to pay in Euros on both legs is if you're planning on making multiple trips to the same destination. You'll always have to pay for the first flight ex UK in pounds, but if you book all subsequent flights as ex EU returns you'll be able to pay in Euros.

It makes a substantial saving as they convert their cheaper fares and all extras, baggage seat selection etc, at a rate of €1 = £1, so it will currently be about 28% cheaper than paying for the same flights in ££.

What if you used a proxy and booked it through their Irish site, what would happen then?

Would it make any difference? I thought Ryanair flights were always priced in the currency of the country where the flight originated, regardless of where the booking takes place.

That's what I am asking as I paid a flight from Dublin in Sterling in the past through booking from home for my partenr who was in Ireland at the time. so the originating flight thing may be true now but hasn't always been.

Did it price the flight initially in Euros then convert to Sterling when you paid? That's how it normally works, unless you specifically tell it to bill your card in the currency the flight is priced in.

I don't think so but I could be wrong, I honestly can't remember exactly. Surely it's worth a try though?

If I look at flights from Dublin to London now, they are all priced in Euros, as expected.
