New car delivered with wrong specification

Thanks guys. a quick update. The manufacturer has now washed their hands of the issue. The spec and brochure were changed 1.10.2014. My Order was placed on the 22.10.2014 at the dealership. The brochure they emailed me confirming the elctric rear windows as standard on the version I ordered was in fact an old brochure. Still no joy from dealer. Have asked for contact details of legal department. I am also in contact with credit card company now re a section 75 Consumer Credit Act 1974 refund. Still gutted about the new car though and the whole way I have been treated.0

Sounds like you are doing everything remotely?
Loud upset customer in ear shot of other potential customers is going to get much more attention than someone on the phone or via email.
A dealership is highly unlikely to have a "legal department" but even if you were passed to their solicitors they'd just drown you in legalese0 -
go to the local rag and give them abit of free publicity
the dealer in my opinion is at fault here and made a right royal F*** up with your order by using the wrong spec brochure.
this sounds like a job for

I never said it did, as you appear to be posting legal advice are you a legal expert as well or is this just your opinion?0 -
Also mention this on Manufacturer Facebook/Twitter profile.
They take it very seriously and the head office will come in between to solve it.0 -

I'd hardly call suggesting that its better to go an make a nuisance of yourself in the showroom professional legal advice :rotfl:
As with all posts on this site, they should all be taken as opinion and not professional advice.0 -

This sounds like legal advice to me, though agree it is never advisable to listen to barrack room lawyers on an internet site.
I'd say that particular statement was purely a fact.
Dont think it takes a law degree to know that not all companies act 100% within the law 100% of the time as you cant read a paper cover to cover and not see about one company or another being investigated for something or another0
