Yes i have the email to the dealer questioning the rear electric windows ( although it does not mention the other items ). I think at the time it was not clear to me. These were on the vehicle we test drove so they emailed a copy of the brochure with the rear electric windows asterisked to confirm. This also showed the leather sterring wheel and gear knob as standard on the version I had chosen.0

If you have explicitly stated you want the electric windows and they then havent provided them you have a strong case for rejecting the vehicle.
The other items are less of an issue to resolve and so probably not worth focusing on as much.
The question really though is, what do you want the resolution to be? Technically you can only demand the contract to be rescinded which would mean a refund to you. Your trade in may already have been sold on and so they'd just have to give you full reimbursement (obv most goes to the finance company) but then you are stuck without a car.
You can ask for the electric windows to be fitted but thats sounding like it may not be an option though the two leather components should be.
Personally, once I've decided what I want the resolution to be I'd go to the show room on a busy Saturday afternoon and have a loud conversation with them in the middle of the showroom floor and refuse to be moved off out of earshot of other potential customers.0 -
I'm sure manufacturers must have had this in the past. OP read your contract with a fine toothcomb, you might find this is covered in the contract and you might not like what you read.
Go easy on this until you are 100% sure of your facts.0 -
rear electric windows will cost more than £100 to fit you need motors, switch's, actuators new interior door panel.
if you ordered these parts or were advertised as been on your car then you want them. Gear knob do it yourself screw on screw off, steering wheel could be difficult if the wheel has controls built into it and airbag0 -

"More than £100"? I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that the total cost including all parts and labour would be nearer to £1000.0 -

Apparently this wouldnt be possible, they'd have had to been told at point of purchase.11.8 The OFT's objections do not apply to terms saying that suppliers can vary
the specification of products featured in their brochures or other
advertising, provided customers are told at the point of purchase how what
they are buying differs from what was advertised.28You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Looking at the brochure for my new car which I bought last year, it does state in the small print that 'the manufacturer reserves the right to vary the specifications with or without notice and in such a manner that they may think. Major as well as minor changes may be involved.'0 -
a few years back ordered an all white brand new mini, details in the invoice confirmed the spec. Car turned up with a black roof. They blamed admin error. Agreed to get Tyre insurance as compo. I can understand the OP is in a difficult place. They should check the order specification to see the T&C's. If the rear e/w were written in as to be included then they are grounds, however if it says its a std spec car then less of a claim as manufacturer can change spec.
Can the OP say the manufacturer so others can be made aware.0 -

Just because a company says something doesnt make it legal.
I believe there is also a difference because the OP didnt just order a "Ford Fiesta LX" assuming it'd come with rear electric windows and the 2015 product refresh change the LX to no longer include them but they explicitly stated they wanted rear electric windows with their new LX and so to honour that element of the contract if the new LX makes it become an optional extra then that extra should have been included.0 -
This will be the dealers fault.
Any major spec change like this will have been notified to the dealers months in advance. He should have known that a car ordered at this time would have the different spec. This is why he's trying to fob you off with "no returns", because the manufacturer is not at fault here. If he gives you a refund then its the dealership that will lose out.0
