I recently sent my phone to Igadgetsrecycled, well I really wish I hadn't!!! What a waste of time.
I sent my phone off in the pack provided. This did arrive promptly however the fast service did stop there. After the phone was received by themselves, I later received an email stating my phone has scratches and marks and was then offered £45. The original value was £72 so of course I declined. There is/was nothing wrong with my phone and there was no scratches either, the phone was always kept in a case and looked after very well.
Once I rejected the offer, the next day I received an email upping my offer to £62. This does seem like a generic protocol that they are doing as I have noticed on other review sites that they are offering the same to other customers. Offer high, re-price low and try to meet in the middle if the customers kick up a fuss. I wish I had read the reviews before sending my phone off because the experience very quickly went down hill.
I then decided to accept the re-price of £62, simply because of the time and hassle it had already taken by this point. I was also sure that the phone would not be returned to me in the same condition so I just accepted.
It has since been 10 days and I still have no money in my account. After several emails and phone calls I am still without any payment or phone. I am extremely frustrated and just about had enough with this company.
I have seen other reviews stating that Igadgetrecycled will tell customers that there bank details are wrong, they wont tell the customer what they are for data protection either, completely ridiculous.
I really want this company to be exposed, so please anyone else that is having experience, please help me, is there anything else I can do? Has anyone else done anything and had any success, should I try trading standards, will that help?
Any help appreciated!!!
