what's that youtube user who posts dash cam videos where you hear him and his wife bemoaning other road users where their driving is also questionable?

    Most of them?

For my bicycle camera footage I go by these policies:
-Illegal but doesn't directly affect me (e.g. texting in slow traffic) - don't care at all.
-Inconsiderate actions that annoy me - goes on my Youtube channel with registration.
-Inconsiderate actions that cause significant danger to me - gets reported to the police, and goes on my Youtube channel later.

I tend not to use it as a dashcam as I have a V8 and a guilty conscience!

If you're being regularly 'undertaken', that may be a clear indication that you should critically assess your own lane discipline.

I have installed a cheap dash cam (£27).
It's recorded (in surprisingly good definition) drivers on phones , undertaking and cars going through red lights.
I have been deleting these files from my PC but wondered if I should be sending them to the Police.
Would you grass on these offenders ?

The only ppl I put on YouTube are these lycra louts on bikes. They are the biggest danger on our roads. No wonder so many of them get themselves killed.
But that's just natural selection. One less idiot for me to worry about I suppose
just because you are paranoid doesnt mean to say they are not out to get you

The police may or may not do anything about it, but if you've got footage of traffic offences I'd give it to them anyway.

Nobody's a perfect driver, but the number of idiots on the road texting, talking on their phone, speeding, dangerously overtaking, pulling out etc. seems to be increasing all the time.

If I could walk to work and get rid of the car I would.

Nobody is perfect. There are some seriously dangerous drivers, focus on them.

    You never speed of course?
  • Most people do a couple of miles over the limit but there's a difference between that and doing say 50 in a 30 zone or being on your phone.

Lots of the guys that post the video's make just as many mistakes themselves and they dont mention the fact they just went through the lights on red or pulled out on someone because they think they were going too fast.

But the cyclist ones can be nasty or funny. You can clearly see whats coming in the clip yet the cyclist does not slow down, not even a tiny bit.

There is no such offence as undertaking - tonight I will pass on the inside many cars who cannot read a sign informing them that a 2 hour bus lane does not work 24 hours a day.
I will do it again tomorrow - and the same people will be in the outside (overtaking) lane tutting and believing themselves to be correct.

Glad to see I'm not the only one around that can read a road sign ;)

The second the clock strikes 7pm I've normally got my private lane all to myself in Tunbridge Wells

I wouldn't bother the police with it, unless it was something very severe.

I've caught lots of mad things on my dash cam but i bought it to protect myself from dishonest people so it's just there as a precaution rather than to help police the roads.
