Stuff Recorded on Dash Cam
I have installed a cheap dash cam (£27).
It's recorded (in surprisingly good definition) drivers on phones , undertaking and cars going through red lights.
I have been deleting these files from my PC but wondered if I should be sending them to the Police.
Would you grass on these offenders ?

nope, because i'm not a grass, and as I don't drive perfectly (or legally) 100% of the time, i'd hate for someone to grass me up for something that's a non issue in the majority of cases.
you just have to look on youtube at the people with 'dashcams' moaning about things people do every day, which in most cases has absolute no bearing on them or their safety.
don't become one of the 'oh look someone is pulling out at a roundabout ahead, lets speed up and make an issue out of it' guys0 -
What dashcam is it? I'm on the lookout.0

If someone is driving seriously badly or dangerously then I would upload the video to youtube with their registration number.
I doubt the police would care.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -

How can you make money from putting vids on YouTube out of interest?0 -
There is no such offence as undertaking - tonight I will pass on the inside many cars who cannot read a sign informing them that a 2 hour bus lane does not work 24 hours a day.
I will do it again tomorrow - and the same people will be in the outside (overtaking) lane tutting and believing themselves to be correct.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
Depends what the footage shows.
General idiotic driving (even extending to mobile use) I wouldn't report because I'd be emailing videos all day every day. Something that (clearly) caused danger at the time, I probably would. But that sort of thing is far less common!0 -
what's that youtube user who posts dash cam videos where you hear him and his wife bemoaning other road users where their driving is also questionable?0
