Started off the weekend by washing the Vallimobile. Saharan dust (or similar) much in evidence; hopefully now removed. Hope I have done a better job than last week...patches missed (black car is not most suitable car for country lane driving)

Lots to do this w/e and I MUST make appointments...

DH would agree with you there Valli the landy is black and gets washed and polished every weekend wether it needs it or not and most weeks it does, during the summer his hard work is undone as he washes it Saturday and we go to the boot on Sunday so it looks like it's been driven through a dust bowl.

    Morning all
Hope everyone is well and has a good weekend

Sorry narco don't know anything about growing gogiberrys

Not sure what today's plans are yet.

Morning all. Very windy here today. Was woken up by a combination of LittleyDog and the letter box rattling.

Just having first cuppa of the day. Plans are walk dogs, hoover and mop through house and gardening.

    Have a great day everyone.

Sorry meant to say kaz, I have been trying to think of stuff that would be helpful but you covered more than I could think of on your first post, I hope everything goes well with the caring.
Really windy here as well. Neighbour has a biggish decorative metal windmill in the front garden right under our bedroom window it's been clattering away most of the night!

Right shopping, Cs drop and towels to DD1 to cross off the list. Not sure if DD2 is round today so may need to add make vegan birthday cake to the list if she rings or texts. DHs is outside washing the car so better get ready.

Kaz - DH was in much the same position 18 months ago. He had to keep the collar and cuff sling on for 6 weeks. We bought some shirts from the CS that were too big so they went over it. Over head stuff was too impractical. Zip fleeced were useful too. As were Velcro shoes and joggers.

My DH did become adept at coping, but it was still a struggle.

Prepared food in fridge is a good idea, whether it is sandwiches, a bowl of soup ready to go in the microwave. Valli is right about putting yoghurt into a bowl.

He will probably need help shaving and putting toothpaste onto his brush.

When DH comes back I will ask if there is anything we have missed.... he is leafleting the neighbourhood in an attempt to find new players for the cricket team. Last week he delivered 700 leaflets...

First and lovely dog walk done, hoovering and mopping done. Just used my new mop for the first time. Its old fashioned style (that you twist in the top of the bucket) but made with modern micro fibres. Really impressed, it gets into all the nooks and crannies without me getting down on my hands and knees.

Just having an early lunch before going out with the dogs again and then will get out in the garden.
