My fiancee is not working because he can't find work. And no i will not be in the same situation every month because he has an interview next week and he will be paid weekly so it's fine. We need just money to pay the rent. And yes, my salary can cover rent and bills. I don't want to come home, and we borrowed a lot of money from our relatives, and the cannot help us anymore. The landlord don't want to hear stories. He wants just the money. And yes i need 200 because i have to buy food, and bus tickets to go to work.

If he can't find work then is he going to start looking for other jobs ?

1 option for food is a food bank, have a look for 1 in your area.

Maybe a wage advance is the best option.
  • Sorry to sound daft, but are you not allowed any emergency benefits?

I agree with post 10, ask for a salary advance.

I don't really understand why people travel to other countries without a job or savings to tide them over until they can find permanent work. Sorry if this sounds harsh but it would be common sense to me.

    Hi,
but i don't meet the criteria in most of the cases ( uk citizen, 3 years uk address history, guarantor, good credit score..etc ) i have none of these. i didn't pay my bills on time and i have a lot of "unpaid fees".

Though this isn't the likes of the wonga's et el criteria really and for real genuine people borrowing please can we stick to the truth

If I recall to apply for a 'payday' loan, most lenders ask
    That you are over 18
That you are employed in most cases or have some form of income due
That you have a bank account
That you are a mobile phone owner

And mine has to be to not borrow more then you need or put some of the loan away to help with future repayments :) ...when you need to, you need to.

Maybe this is of use, click on the link for england

That won't work, you can only get these if you're already receiving benefits which OP isn't.

Agree about the food banks though, her local CAB will have a list - they may possibly have local bus tickets. Not 100%.

    Indeed.

I studied abroad and worked right the way through, but did have about £10k in savings before I did it.

I had about £18k in savings when I returned to the UK, having found a job before I'd even thought about returning. I'd lived well in the 4 years between, too.

No, absolutely not. Not for three months at least and then possibly only JSA, nothing else. At the moment they will both fail the habitual residence test - no right to reside.
