Should "Regular Competitions" become "Daily Competitions" (no more weeklies)?

This thread was originally just about re-naming the Regular Competitions sub-forum. The original post is in grey below.
The topic has expanded to include proposals so that weekly comps would be normal comps posted in a new thread on the main board each week ie. there would be no such thing as a weekly comp. This is what happened with monthly comps a couple of years ago.
The proposal always had some support, but with the weeklies index being out of date and nobody maintaining it, and the fact that many weeklies are already posted anew each week, the time may be right to implement the proposal.
No changes at all are proposed to daily competions, but the Regular Competitions sub-forum would become "Daily Entry Competitions"
Any suggestions or comments are welcome.
Please keep the tone positive and constructive, leave the bickering and negativity to those fighting the General Election.

We currently have a sub-forum (f=93) named:
Some people interpret "regular" as "normal", and post one-off comps on there that should be on the main board.
Also, monthly competitions should not be posted there at all.
I suggest it is renamed, for example:

Recurring Competitions
Comps you can re-enter every day or every week.
Daily & Weekly Competitions
Comps you can re-enter every day or every week.
Any thoughts?Daily & Weekly Competitions

Yes, I'm in agreement with 'Recurring Competitions':TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

Yes, that would be a better title.0

Wouldn't do any harm to change it and certainly the Tag line could do with updating to make it clearer what the section contains but as the "misposted?" ones seem to have a good percentage of self-promotion among them it might not make much difference to them.0

Certainly I think that sub-forum needs tidying up, and it needs to be made clearer what it's for, whatever that might be! I've not been here a hugely long time, so don't know what the history of it is - what kind of competitions are meant to be posted there?
I've always assumed it's for any comps that are not one-offs and recur on any kind of basis, whether that be daily, weekly, monthly, whatever. How come monthly comps are not meant to be posted there?0 -
I agree, I've often seen normal comps posted in there by people who must presume that "regular" means normal or run of the mill web comps! I also think "Recurring Comps" or even just "Daily / Weekly Comps" would be a better name.0

I agree with them being 'recurring'0

hi, monthly comps used to have their own 'sticky' & sub forum,
ie: here..

& we used to have ones like this..

but ages ago there was a poll/vote/ or something like that & it was agreed to have it took off & all monthly comps posted on main board only.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Makes sense - I'll stick a vote in for recurring as well.....
And then I tried to be smart and find the wee dot that goes over a decimal to signify that it is recurring and well, here I am, dotless and minus 10 minutes of life I can't get backComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
