A nice guy!!!!.....No punishment is enough, ask any child or parent of a child that has been subjected to this cruel part of our society... Him and his sort provide the audience for the vile animals that commit these crimes and should not be treated any different...0 -

The courts didn't hold that opinion. No punishment is enough, ask any child or parent of a child that has been subjected to this cruel part of our society
You do realise that the parents may be the perpetrator too?Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -

A convicted sex offender with crimes against children(!) seems like a nice guy? Wow!
I wonder what a bad guy looks like
I for one would not work with one and nor would anyone I know.0 -
I agree with ohreally on this one. The guy has been found guilty and punished by the courts. Now he needs to get on with his life and provide for his family. If people try to take the law into their own hands they may push him back into offending. If he is not a risk to anyone vulnerable at work then he should be left alone to get on with it. You don't have to be friends with him. If you don't want to work with him then go elsewhere but don't go taking the law into your own hands. We live in a civilised society and put our trust in the legal system to deal with crimes as appropriate.0

Just playing devils advocate here but the chances are there is someone you know or work with who is a sex offender and nobody even knows about it.Original Total: £34200.78 / Current Total: £24017.00 (July 2017) -29.88%!

'Seems like a nice guy' isn't the same as being a nice guy. Presumably the OP means that the chap seemed pleasant enough and easy to work with. It is only now that his crimes have been reported that people have realised that he isn't as 'nice' as he seems.
Charlotte - a bad guy looks just the same as anybody else. Ordinary. they don't have a tattoo on their forehead, horns, or a forked tongue. Ted Bundy seemed like a nice guy, and looked perfectly ordinary. No one knew for several years that he was a serial killer.0 -

I doubt it since we used to do full checks on all staff since it was an accounts and if you are a sex offender you are in a register so I would know.
And as far as my friends go I know them very well indeed.
Having said that would you still be friends with someone if you found them to be a pervert?0 -

No that is exactly it
When a murder takes place you always see the people who knew the murderer on the TV saying "oh he was a nice bloke"
All nice blokes till proven not to be! A bit like Jimmy Saville!0 -

So you're ok working with them if they've not been found out? This is the point you're missing, in any workplace you will find people that have done things you find to be unacceptable - you may or may not be aware of these activities. You can't pick and choose who you work with!0
