bath toys for an older child

What does your older child(ren) play with in the bath?

My son is 7 and he still likes to play in the bath, I like it too as he is old enough to be left and it gives me time to get something done whilst he is occupied :)

The trouble is I am struggling to find bath toys they are all too young for him, looking for suggestions of what he can play with. Ideally it would be something without any holes in. We did try putting some of his normal plastic toys in the bath but they just filled up with water which is impossible to get out again and the paint came off in :(

Thanks

Don't think bath toys, think education!

At his age he will be learning about capacity - how much does something hold. Children often have no ideas about the capacity of different shaped containers so he needs plastic bottles of different shapes and sizes, large and small plastic bowls, egg cups etc etc

So, how much does this hold? Which holds more... etc etc just the experience of pouring water from one thing to another is great experience for learning about capacity. You could start off by saying I think *** eggs cups will fill this bottle....... what do you think?

Of course if you want something just for playing with then I am sure ''bath toys for older children' on Amazon will do the job.

My son's 8 and he loves playing in the bath. He likes to play with these diving sticks:

And he also likes these ones:

We didn't buy them as bath toys, the dive sticks are his sister's that we bought after she played with someone else's on holiday in a swimming pool. They do both take them if we go swimming at the weekend but they've had more use for my son at bathtime.

Mine had lots of foam shapes and letters and numbers, so they would stick them to the tiles at the side of the bath wall, making up sums, making peoples names with the letters, and I had a big net bag that lived over the taps for when they were finished so they were kept tidy and drained any remaining water away for next time.
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post

My son is now 9 and loves to play in the bath. He does not have any specific bath toys but loves to take his action men and boats in. He also hair dries their clothes when he gets out.

Mine even plays with empty shampoo bottles (filling up and pouring out etc).

I have seen those and he has actually asked for them but he suffers with eczema, I dont think they would be suitable for his skin.

I remember playing in the bath until I was about 7 or 8. My mum was an avon rep so I had all their bath toys.

Leaving a seven year old alone in the bath?
Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.
