have a Medion desk top computer, Had it over tree years, its reliable.
Looking at the one you refer to, it seems good value.
Do it have the three year guarantee?

    Ralph.
  • Ok, I'm fairly new here too but this is already starting to bother me: the notorious ALDI laptop deal has already been discussed here and here. No need to keep starting new threads, there is a search box in the top right corner and it's FREE to use

Continentgal, don't take a lot to bother you.
Have you thought perhaps the person who asked is newer than you, and not sure about how a search works.
You done the right thing by showing the links, and let your self down by being Victor Meldrew.

The latest "Computeractive" mag has a road test of a Medion 96327, which might be of interest to anyone thinking of buying. Graphics were rubbish, as with many laptops, battery life poor, no webcam or memory card reader, but 2GB memory, large screen, and dual-core processor were plus points. Display is brilliant, speakers crap, although there is a socket for external or headset, and the AMD Turion processor just about copes with Vista home premium. That seems to be about the gist of it, not my opinions of course, I'm not qualified to have any. HTH.
  • O.H. wanted one of these but the end of the month was too far away and knowing how fast these things go, I got one for her on the understanding that I would eventually be financially reimbursed, (I'm not prepared to divulge the nature of the interest charged :D ).
Today I received a letter from TV Licensing stating that they have no record of a license in my name at this address i.r.o.television receiving equipment purchased in August 2007 from Aldi Stores Ltd. There is a license but it is in her name so I can explain that and there is not a problem. Come to think of it, I do recall being asked to fill a form in when I bought it.
My query is, is this laptop capable of receiving television, i.e. is there a T.V. card or whatever is required in there somewhere ? I have had a look in the control panel but I haven't got to grips with XP yet so Vista is a new kettle of worms. Could anybody tell me what I should be looking for please ?
