We had to cancel our plans for our 10th wedding anniversary a number of years back when both DH's father and then his brother died (his brother was under 50), we just could not under the circumstances. So we bought a painting. Then the following year we had a quiet weekend away on our own in the bridal suite of a not too far away hotel.

Loving the dog embarrassment. The wooly one we walk had snowballs all over his feet that he kept trying to chew off but he was eating the snow rather than embarrassed by it!

  • I reckon they spontaneously regenerate. Our house is full of the damn things and we don't even have kids!
    You have no excuses then!!

Mid month slump for financials, so it's just our TT's that are keeping progression and motivation. Kitchen decorating stalled before it even got going. Mrs SJ has quite a bit going on with her folks and work. I could sense a lack of enthusiasm for the kitchen upheaval which is understandable especially with the kitchen table also being our work stations. So its been a really relaxed and quiet first couple of days of half term for me,

I am extremely frustrated (probably grumpy is a more apt description) however with an injury that I've picked up. I've developed a spot of bursitis in my knee and that has ruled out running for the time being. Sundays long run (despite the wind) felt so good and I was actually looking forward to running in better temperatures...grrr! So I'm setting out to be disciplined and respectful of my 43yr old knee. I have been hard at the frozen mushy peas when I've got my feet up and hoping I can limit my time off running to 2 weeks. In the meantime the poor dog will have longer walks and I will be grumpy!
