I'm the only one up (the dog must be sulking at me, or is wary of being dragged out as he's keeping his distance), so been enjoying the cricket since 7am with mugs of tea in peace and quiet. Washing machine and dish washer been loaded and switched on so ahead of the jobs!
I've OP's my TT pot which stood at £4.07 for the week. That takes care of 1 days daily interest with some loose change left over. I have identified a box of childrens books to sift through today as part of my declutter. I'm certain there'll be at least 10 that have been outgrown and will be donated to the charity book bank.
Always like to have a rough plan for the day, so here it is. Short dog walk in an hour or so to enjoy the cold crisp morning, then approx 90mins of painting late morning/lunch. I'm hoping for a little run in the afternoon but that will depend on the snow/ice on the paths. I then have some glossing to do late afternoon, which should take between 60mins and 90mins. A decent dog walk before or just after Sunday roast.
That's the idea anyway!

Successful day. Decorating all finished, and the gloss should be dry by the morning which means I can start putting furniture back in there. We held off buying a new bed until was can see how the furniture looks. Once Mrs SJ is happy with where we put wardrobe and chest of drawers I'll measure up and we can order the bed. We have a few options and and order of preference. Eitherway it will entail some form of construction for me in the coming week or so
I've also thrown in 2 dog walks and a run, and I'm absolutely shattered now! But all for good reason and everyone is happy!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......5 -

Its been quite a busy one this morning. 2 things (one significantly major) cropped up with work. The major one resulted in a CEO phone call which hardly ever happens, and I took the opportunity to sneak something else in that has been niggling away in the background!! Mrs SJ's morning has been relentless brought about mainly by the disruption that bad weekend weather creates. And then internet has been a bit iffy and we all keep getting kicked out of live lessons/meetings!!
It's payday today which is always fantastic but I've been so busy I haven't even had a chance to money shuffle yet... So i'm saving that joy for when schooling has finished. I did OP 30p to tidy the account up and keep my scratch sufficiently itched!!
We have another bag of old clothes bagged up ready for charity and Mrs SJ is going to drop it off this afternoon. I'm hoping that school doesn't quite as intense supervising as it did this morning so that I can start moving some furniture back into DD's room.

Clothes bag was dispatched to charity and I sifted through some books of DD's. There's now a carrier bag of books brimming to bursting and waiting for donation. I also got rid of an inherited pencil case. And then the fun started...
I hung curtains, put light fitting up and moved the newly inherited furniture into DD's room. But its just too much and kind of defeats the object of creating space for her to play. So the wardrobe that me and my 70yr old dad fought and battled with for 45mins to get up our cornered stairs... now needs to come back down again!! So as not to dilly dally I took some pictures for Mrs SJ to put on the local FB group, and it was taken within an hour. Dad is now booked in for 12.30pm tomorrow for wardrobe manoeuvres 2!
So in a way I've decluttered a large item and 'decluttered forward', as with less storage surely we will have less stuff in future...
Hectic day continued and it was 9pm before money shuffles were undertaken. Particular highlight was £250 of premium bonds being purchased. This is our holiday money which I can't envisage a world until 2022 when we will even consider going abroadIts a non council tax month, so some big decisions to make...£200 to mortgage or £200 to S&S Isa? Or split it?
I'm giving myself till Friday to decide...

I think we have one more DD and the milk bill left before the end of the month and with DH's tax refund, feeling similarly positive over at Suffolk towers!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
