It was raining here, but they still went off with a bang!
Happy New year to you and your family
glad to read you previous calf injury has settled. I used to love running, but stopped (and started) several times due to reoccurring calf tears. I'm tempted to try again.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......4 -
Well today was a success with everything achieved. All the decorations are packed away in the loft, and we just need a bit of a general tidy up and hoover of living room and kitchen tomorrow. The kids have fresh beds ready for a good night sleep after last nights late one. The garage is awash with cardboard and bottles waiting for recycling collection on Monday. The waste bin is full to the top, but for that collection is we have to wait till Saturday. I've also got quite a bit of stuff for charity shop, but without any sign of them being open I'm considering just leaving the bags out for the kerbside collections.
So onto my declutter effort... It started with the kitchen food cupboard and an unsuccessful hunt for some porridge... Several food items disposed of with the highlight being 8 trifle sponges that went off in Aug 2018! They were more like dog biscuits they were that hard! I binned a power cable that was damaged (and also a European plug?!?!?!) and 5 hangers (how on earth do so many hangers end up in our houses?).MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......5 -
Food cupboards make me laugh. I guarantee most people would find something out of date if they went hunting. My MIL gave us a pot of treacle once that was 17 years out of date. 😂DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

The final decoration came down today as I'd forgotten about the lights at the top of the house! Total waster of time putting them up again as 50% end up hiding in the gutters after a bit of wind!
Moneywise we added £1.58 to the TT pot via a couple of purchase round ups. Declutter wise I disposed of a monster truck that I'm sick of standing on, some harry potter glasses and my personal favourite was a yo-yo that didn't yo, let alone yo-yo! Mrs SJ joined in the merriment and got rid of some ends of wool! We are now jointly decluttering a bottle of fizz that we didn't open on New Years Eve as we were both too full of hot pot!

Quick post. I OP'd our TT & spending round ups pot this morning. The weekly pot sat at £5.32, so I added a nice roundly £1 to it and made my first OP for 2021 of £6.32.
My next job is to let these paracetamol kick in and then head out for my run. Although looking at the pooch curled up into the smallest ball possible in the corner of the couch, and snoring serenely makes it even harder to find motivation. On my way upstairs to get changed I will be on the hunt for item(s) to declutter... If any of the kids are in the way, they may be in danger.........MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......5
