you can look forward to days off like crazy
If you're anything like Goldie and me, there's a lot of admin and a fair amount of rejigging the house to be got through before you go on the razzle 24/7/365, and regular commitments soon build, like my healthy walks and my U3A groups. I'm horrified to see myself writing it, but the queue of holidays last summer, before I was really ready to go away that much, got to be quite stressful
:o:o it will be better this year, I've got my feet under the table now

You will start to explore FIRE (financial independence, retire early) once your mortgage is done, you'll see! It will get to the point where you don't want to fritter that extra financial gap that your mortgage is in - you started with your toe in the S&S ISA Space last year :TSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Right today promises to be an all action one! 89p TT to kick things off, now having 10mins before getting DS2 ready for football match. 9am ko so an early game.
I'm working for a few hours this afternoon so intend to go for a run in after football and before lunch and am thinking I may go as soon as i get back that way i don't actually warm up before heading out again. Work is outside as well so it' a day of layers, hats, gloves and stamping feet i'd say! Keeping everything crossed that it at least stays dry.
DD and SisIL birthdays on Monday but everything ha been bought so no expenditures planned for this weekend. Now into the last week before payday which is always a nice feeling - 6 days to payday.
Stay warm people!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Keep warm today! And enjoy the run. I've got to buy some joggers today as I'm outside coaching tomorrow morning and I know I'll need that extra layer!Original MF Date January 2035. MF Date February 20220

Managed everything today but a slight change in the order. I opted for a dog walk in the am and a run at 5pm. Managed 5miles, so am now 5% to target!!!
Our bi weekly food shop came in at £77, and with only milk to top up we are well within monthly £200 budget.
Work from 9-2 tomorrow and all outside again so layers being prepared!!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

Well I've been missing in action on here this week, and I'm not too sure why really.
Payday has finally arrived and I feel like we can breathe out again (not to much though as we still have DS1 birthday to come). It also means I can start looking ahead to next weeks OP and spreadsheet day.We have a major milestone coming up with this OP in that we will pass the £50k reduction (in 47 months), so there will be a celebratory meal out at our favourite Mexican I think! I'm already plotting for the next £50k to be smashed in 43 months now (as i said earlier, its never enough).
We have our gas and leccy fix running out in Feb so I also need to look into this for either switching or taking the next offer with Sainsburys.
Right I'm off as I really need to do some work as i have to finish an hour early today to pick the kids up from school (Mrs SJ is at a funeral 100 miles away).MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0
