Little 76p TT this morning. Also finally had time to do our accounts and receipts so feeling a bit better about finances, and ready to tackle the next £7k to get under £90. And on that note I have 4 days to accounts posting!

Oh no, I missed my 3yr diary birthday/anniversary. "No change there" I can hear Mrs SJ saying! As a celebration i'll post some spreadsheet comparisons tonight.

Ebay posted yesterday and made 86p TT today. Accounts look good so feeling quite optimistic about April. My January plans to try and OP £666 a month are now looking highly unlikely. 6% council tax rise, slight increase in gas and electric, DS2 opting to do every available after school club alongside swimming lessons and football club subs, and then some opt in pension increases for me will reduce our available income. £600 is perhaps a more realistic amount. So as much as it pains me, i'll make some adjustments to my targets in post 1.

I'm now officially half way through my hectic 6 weeks, with a day off today. Hoping for a relatively dry day to spend on dog walks, and taking DD to park (or at least out for a walk with dog). Easter isn't restful for me, so tomorrow i kick into work for a few days but at least its normal level of work and not excessive. So as I'm off today I will defintiely be looking at some 3yr diary anniversary comparisons.

I promised some figure comparison, so here goes. Not sure how the format will look, but here goes:

    Year (March) 2015 2016 2017 2018
    Balance £136k £123k £110k £97k
    LTV (%) 61% 56% 50% 44%
    Daily Int £7.41 £6.80 £6.08 £4.41
    Monthly Int £230 £209 £154 £135
    MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......

I'll throw some predictions in for 2019. Working on having the same interest rate (it'll fall on our remortgage month):
    Balance - £84k
    LTV - 38%
    Daily Int - £3.82
    Monthly Int - £116

Quite exciting to think in 4yrs of concerted effort we may have knocked £52k off our mortgage debt!

TH - The difference is astounding when you see it written down. It's like a pressure valve on home life as well. The equally pleasing, or reassuring, thing is that in those 3 years we've had a new boiler, replaced 2 cars, had 2 Egypt hols, decorated every room (will restart that whole trouble this year), had some significant building works in the house, and added another mouth to feed in the house! So life hasn't stopped for us either.

    Onwards and downwards i'd say!
