How are they to concentrate until Friday ......oh dear!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • DS2 who is 5 is just a ball of phenomenal excitement as well! Its gonna be a long week for them!

  • I feel for the teachers everyday having to deal with DS2! Tasmanian devil on "speed" constantly! So add in the excitement of Christmas and he's just ready to pop!

80p TT today, and posted 5 ebay items that sold on Sunday evening. I haven't relisted anything though, and am gonna wait until after the big man has been! I have to admit that i've gotten a bit impatient over the whole getting below £100k mark! Although a formality now it seems to be taking forever to get to payment day.

Down to 1 car for a couple of days as well. Mrs SJ had a bump a few weeks ago (no injuries and only cosmetic car damage) and typically ours was booked in for its MOT. MOT then lapsed as it was in the body repair shop. Car returned yesterday but its stuck on the drive now until its test tomorrow, so its a good job we are both off work this week.

  • Bah to cars.....DH and I have got to have our cars MoT'd during the first week in January....with my car tax due the same time. I hate January for that reason alone! Thankfully I will get a car with my new job so that will alleviate some of the 4-wheeled related stresses! I'm glad to see that Mrs SJ wasn't hurt, at the very least.
  • The cost of cars is a real bug bearer of mine! But as you say so long as no one is hurt, and at the end of the day as nice as the car is, it is only a piece of metal!

Well Father Christmas came to the street this evening just to add to DS2's excitement levels! It was lovely though. Loads of kids out playing and charging round, adults drinking sherry and eating mince pies! Now that's what the lead up to Christmas is about!!

All shopping done other than a bottle of baileys for great grandma and a few freezer bits of food for our house. Most of the wrapping is done, just got the kids to wrap now. And got a few big outdoor type toys to build.

Bank account looking healthy which is always a nice feeling.

A healthy looking bank account at this stage in December is very impressive!
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Its is looking healthy at the minute but Mrs SJ having time off work isn't ideal as she drifts off to yet more shops.

Made a 71p TT this morning, and then had a lovely 7km dog walk following school run. We dropped the car at the garage for its overdue MOT and then walked back but went a ling way round. Pooches are now shattered.

Not much else going on really. The big day looms large!!

I hope you didn't mean I felt for the teacher who has DS2 specifically! I'm sure he's lovely!

Betterthannever - I'm celebrating the fact that for once I know I won't receive my car tax renewal on my birthday because it's a Sunday.... I can guarantee it'll arrive with my cards normally! (And it's not MSE to switch it to the summer!)

The visit from Father Christmas sounds lovely!
