Kitten - Put aside £100 for a month (you can take that back after 2-3 weeks), and just take your time and see it as a hobby and long term project. We view it as 'free money' for nights out, weekends away, hair extensions, bikes etc... (thinking about it Mrs SJ has spent more on her than i have on me!!). As for shingles, he's actually ok other than being tired towards the end of the day and know that they've started to scab its become sore when he knocks them. No swimming tomorrow but he'll be back in school on Monday.

Nice 31p TT this morning and as its the 1st of a new month its accounts day. I had a quick update of my spreadsheet to distract me from peppa pig (i cant stand peppa pig by the way) and i'll post our figures at lunch in work today. Happy to report that even without an OP in December we'll still hit the lovely under 100k target. So i may reluctantly move some OP money to the Christmas pot so that Mrs SJ can buy even more plastic s***e, or we can have more beer, baileys and chocolate reindeers from ALdi.

Being serious we don't go overboard on Christmas for the kids, as we let grandparents do that. Having said that they'll still do very well with their main presents off us.

£1 TT this morning with my cup of tea and then sent the weekly pot of £3.32 to the mortgage.

Following last nights accounts posting i had a chat with Mrs SJ about our progress and journey and she was astounded! So i have extra traction with her commitment for the next few months!

Being under 100k for New Year is now a formality so i've started thinking about next years targets. On the 2018 challenge i've gone for £8k in OP's which will be an extra £800 on 2017, or an extra £66 per month, or overall average OP of £666.67 per month!

I've plumped for £8k OP's as that will hopefully nudge us under the £86k mark, which is a £50k balance reduction since my diary challenge started and will be in 46 months/payments.

Kitten - all those 'normal' mortgage prisoner type people of the world have no idea what they're missing out on not being able to study and fiddle with budget spreadsheets! My spreadsheet is permanently open on my laptop!

23p TT today to follow my 26p TT yesterday so off and running for December. TT's keep me going when little is happening money wise.

Oh 3 more ebay items sold on Sunday so i'll nip out of work and post them today. Also had 2 bids on the 92 items that i relisted. Still got another bag of items to list and i'm guessing there'll be 25 things in.
