Well night out was great until 12:15am when we received a call from 'Nanny' to say baby SJ wasn't well at all. So we brought her home and left the boys, and low and behold she has chicken pox!! Makes sense why she was screaming on Thursday (she doesn't normally cry much to be fair), as she must have had the pre spots head ache!

So she's fully dosed up on calpol and we've just had a good 40min scutch with pram and pooch, so hopefully she'll have a good sleep.

Its a good job we don't go out too much like last night as city drinks and food and flaming expensive!! And the food was insubstantial too!

Chicken pox is inevitable and probably best to have it at a young age when the spots wouldn't bother her as much. DS1 had them at 3, DS2 had them at 4 months!

In between dog walks, out with DS2 on bikes and taxi service for DS1 i've managed to schedule 18 new listings which will go on tonight between 8 and 8.30 so pleasantly surprised at getting that much done. Of last Sundays 28 items 8 have bids for a total of £36.30 which i'm very happy with, and we have 27 hours left on the lists as well. I'm optimisitc we'll get another 5-6 sales too judging by the number of views and watchers.

18 items sold for £83.40 (plus I may make a £1 or £2 on postage), so all in all a good weekend. So tempted to OP that money, but it'll. stay nestled in PayPal ready for 2 January birthdays. I've relisted everything so still a further 83 items possibly selling and 25 of those are new lists. Why on earth we have so much stuff is another matter.........

First full week so a few money shuffles from current account interest to do which is always enjoyable!

I admire your restraint in waiting until the first full week of the month. ;)

Chicken pox, rotten colds, dog that wont go out in the rain.... It's all tough in SJ towers....

We've had a small fault on the cistern tank which is getting repaired tomorrow and our house alarm, so an expensive day tomorrow. And all at the wrong time of the month for cash flow (if there's ever a right time). Car tax notice has also landed so that needs attending to, but thankfully i put cash aside each month so we never actually feel that one.

Determined to get going on MB again this weekend following a few weeks interruption for our holidays. I'm also very glad i did the garden tidy last Sunday now that the temperature has plummeted . I did have to dismantle and tip run the trampoline though as it was pretty wrecked (doesn't owe us anything as its been hammered for a good 4-5 years). Hopefully Father Christmas was watching me and has noticed he needs to deliver a new one...!

I really do have no jobs to do this weekend...as yet....until Mrs SJ thinks...

  • our dog doesn't like the rain either, but that's a bonus as he's such a nuisance to walk. Every cloud :D

  • Well Mrs SJ job list arrived right on cue just as i was placing my Matched Betting Acca's...! Moving massive mirror from kitchen to new hall, putting pictures up, moving book cases, wardrobe sortings and on and on and on.... I thought i'd get away with it by getting up first with baby SJ and tidying the kitchen and doing 2 piles of washing but that's not been acknowledged yet!!

So i've started with the hardest job first which was the mirror, and am now hiding in the kitchen with a brew. Getting things straight when the wall, floor and ceilings aren't! Just reminds me of my worst type of job which is curtain poles in old houses.

Money wise we have run out! Run out till payday on Friday and that includes lending £340 from savings due to the month cross over of credit card for monthly spending and no more CC. All will be straightened out by Friday and the CC will be cancelled (making a stance against Tesco's destruction of the points thing and we shop at Aldi now anyway).

Chicken pox and the cold alongside has all but disappeared and baby pretty much back to normal. DS2 has picked up a rotten cold but so far we seem to be keeping at bay and he managed school on Thursday and Friday. I've kept him away from the sport toddlers group this morning which has proven to be an error as he's manic now!

Well my tea has been drunk so i best get back to it....

  • Great day today. Managed to sneak an hour and half this morning with the tv to myself, so watched some cricket and had several brews...! Then Mrs SJ offered sausage on toast for breakfast! I took the boys to a trampolining centre this afternoon and we met up with a friend and his son.

Other than my betting exchange (for my MB accumulators which end tonight) and MFW forum i've stayed on internet silence, and kept phone in my pocket to avoid the sport until i get to watch it tonight once the boys are in bed (big TV reserved - woo hoo!).

Think i'll have a potter in the garage as its in need of some attention to tidy up until boys bath time, and i'll definite;y mix in a dog walk. I've also got some banking to do (which we all enjoy doing) and some small overpayments to make.

House insurance is on the horizon also, so hopefully i'll be able to get a few pounds off quidco as i've not had any for a while.
