Its not depressing. I just view it cycles and small targets. The current view is that by the time of the next election we'll only owe £75k... And by the one after that we'll somewhere between £0 and £15k...

Then we can start thinking about jobs for the remaining 20yrs of work without the added stress of paying a mortgage, and hopefully fitting more golf in!

Back to the mortgage for an update. We remortgaged for £136k in Feb, at 1.99% for 2 yrs. Overall term remaining is 20 yrs (now 19yrs 10mths...). A major bearing in the product we chose was the option to make capital over payments at anytime with no limits. A minimum is an overpayment of £453 per month, taking approx £920 off the capital each month. We're actually striving to knock off £1000 per month (£12k per year target). We managed that plus more in the first 2 months, and are actually £107 in credit for the £12k target!!

    sorry for the 2nd post...

I intended to post saying nothing has really happened for a couple of days, which is good as it also means we've not spent! Well other than the ebay earnings on golf stuff, but in fairness we're still £2.79 in credit so not be too harsh on me!

Very little happened again today. posted a couple of eBay items and have 55p in change to add to the small change jar.

Though I suppose that's 1/10th of the way towards the next £5 small change overpayment!

It's that time of the month where very little money saving goes in it would seem from reading a few diaries!

I made 22p in 1minute before running out of daily coins, and without having a clue what I was doing! I was thinking 20p per day for the free coins - I should clear £5 a month for 1 min per day worth of work. Until the novelty wears off...

Absolutely nothing happening! Looking forward to payday on Friday!

As an update on the geolotto thing. In 4 days of logging on for 5mins I've made £2.06 so far. So it does seem worthwhile. If anyone wants to give it a whirl you are more than welcome to use this referral code ;)

I will look into geolotto! I can spare 1 min a day lol.

How goes the attacking the banks plan? I need a new 1 now but can't think what. I worked out I'm earning around £50pm net from interest/rewards/cashback etc. My aim is to increase by another £5pm at least. No idea how to do it though.

Just opened my new electronic change jar I got for xmas. It counts the coins as they go in. A new way to motivate me to put more loose change in :)
