shangaijimmy wrote: »Totally agree hidden. I suppose the trade off is viewing the mortgage on internet banking v unlimited OP's, with the text alerts a perfect softener. I get mine every Sunday morning and my hope is that i'll have at least 1 OP per week.
If the text alerts were complete, I'd be ok with them (though on principle it does seem odd to be online-only and yet not display everything online). I frequently don't get all the info in my texts, though, either missing texts for OPs or missing info from the weekly summary (yesterday's didn't include the interest payment, for example, though the current balance of the mortgage does reflect it being debited). I imagine it's a limitation of texts as far as character length, but that brings me back to wanting an online bank to display the balance of all my accounts online.
Well i threatened to add £50 from monthly surplus funds to the OP pot. I've actually plumped for £60 as i couldn't have my payment + regular payment (not including bonus OP's) adding up to £1190 could I...!0 -

My only (small! tiny!) complaint with them is that they're an online bank (yay) that doesn't let you view your mortgage balance online (boo). They will do text alerts for your mortgage, but those go out overnight so you have to wait for the next day to confirm balances. Or you can phone up every time you make an OP, which I did for about 18 months before I found the text alert options.
I wish I could get text alerts!! I'm with skip ton and I can log in online.....but only see the balance.
I have to log in the day after I make an op or my payment clears or the interest is added and work out the difference. Very annoying!!
The only detail I get is in the annual mort statement.1 -
It's mortgage companies last piece if control/frustration from all us lot - making it as difficult as they can to help us!

Another lovely £1 TT'd this morning and 1 item sold on eBay. Our list of 148 items is now down to 52 remaining, which is a great paid declutter. We've also done a few charity runs too!
After baby Shanghai arrival my running has took a major hit, with only 1 in the last 2 weeks. Tonight I'm determined to restart with a short 5km. Now I've stated it I'll have to do it!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

In the main SJ towers is great. Baby SJ has a rotten snotty nose but with 2 in school it can't be avoided. Headed back into work this partially. Did a few hours on Monday, a full shift on Weds, off today then back fully on Friday. Mrs SJ is driving now so life is steadily getting back to normal.

£1 TT'd this morning so now at £3.85 for Feb. I also OP'd £10 from an eBay sale of "my stuff". That takes care of 1 day interest with some extra for 2/3 of another. Feb OP total stands at £55.35 which is before the standard £483 gets added on last day of month.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0
