Aye I agree with that olly, and it does wear well on me

On a more important note our resident troll/nostradamus has changed his mind, after going through through a "sticky downward" period and "not crashing until london olympics 2012" we now find its "stopping in 2008 and 20% reversing in 2010" http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-rw9B7YVAcI
He changes his mind more times then a woman getting ready for a night out.
But i find this is much better then bruno, all hail S.I

Yant do you have any hobbies? Taking up things like dragon boat racing and salsa dancing are guaranteed ways to meet the opposite sex. They also give you other things to talk about.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

My george jeans dont look any different to gucci jeans, denim is as denim does.
That's where you're wrong - gucci jeans say "I am rich, I am successful, I will be able to support you and our children", george jeans say "either all I can afford are these £3 jeans or I don't know how to impress you - either way I'm a bad prospect". Since you seem reasonably well-to-do, why not, as a social experiment, spend a few hundred quid on some designer clothes & see what happens the next time you're out with your mates.
Incidentally I own no gucci jeans, but umpteen pairs of tesco value jeans, so I'd be keen know the result of the experiment. Though I like to think girls are attracted to me by my sparkling wit & electric personality, interested young ladies have been a bit thin on the ground recently so maybe it's time to get some new togs."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.

Dragon boat racing and salsa dancing doesnt really appeal olly.
Ive got some designer stuff that other people have bought me and when i do go out some of the times i wear it but it doesnt really matter, if you aint got "it" what ever "it" is then you dont. I pulled a few girls at uni but they were only interested in one nighters and it was m,ainly cos they must have been blind drunk, take advantage when one cans
, but in the big world girls arnt interested in me for one nighters or otherwise and i havent pulled for 3 years.
...anyway stop trying to help me, if im going to find the magic algorithm of panty loosening id have to do it myself.0 -

but your too moneysaving to spend your own money on this experiment are you guy?
:rotfl:  Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
This thread has cheered me up no end today.
Time we had a good light hearted thread.
Now, anyone know where there are any single ladies that like golf? I'm too old to be doing night clubs and all that malarky.
On Gucci......I never fully understood the obsession with labels. I get a lot of my clothes made, which sounds ostentatious, but really it isn't. I can get a tailor made suit for far less than an off the peg designer...
Try these people:-
http://www.kingandallen.co.uk
Shirts I buy from a company in Paris who used to have a store in New Bond Street which closed, but now have an on line store (tip, the more you buy the cheaper they get - and these are as nice if not better than Thomas Pink):-
http://www.alain-figaret.fr/
Combine money saving with looking good....perfect!
My only nod in the direction of a designer is Ralph Lauren, and only because He makes clothes that fit real people:)0 -
That's the idea, Alan!
It the Far East, getting your clothes made is the norm, the "flash" thing to do is to buy designer suits off the peg. How things are different over here!
I don't believe I have one item of designer clothing in my closet (unless it's something I found at TK Maxx...)Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -

There must be something you like doing that someone of the opposite sex also likes doing - apart from posting on here what other hobbies do you have?
Cycling, weight lifting, running, computer games, repairing cars, repairing computers, stockmarket, antiques, coins, stamps, DIY, bricklaying, plastering, architecture, making music + listening too, mathematical problems, comedy, drinking + socialising, travelling, cooking, reading. So quite a lot and can bore people to the nth geek degree on any of my hobbies
I agree with alan, instead of buying a branded item its better to take a holiday and get some nice kit made up while your over their, you can get something made to your specifications and just as good as anything gucci could make as gucci pay minimum wage where as foreign jewelers, saddler's and tailors have lived their jobs since they were born (more or less).0 -
That's brilliant Alan, the last suit I bought was a crappy Next number that set me back c. £150* these guys will do a bespoke one for £219.This thread has cheered me up no end today.

*I had just spent £600:eek: on a kilt & all the trimmings so I was feeling particularly tight."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
