women prefer homeowners not renters.....

What about women's nesting tendancies, especially once bairns are on the way, you can't nest properly in a rented place. My sister completely redecorating her flat while preggers, I came round to visit one day to find her heavily pregnant, perching at the top of a very high step ladder hanging wallpaper (it was a Scottish tenement, with v. high ceilings)."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.0 -
Girl bought me a drink the other day in the club when I told her I was buying a newbuild flat in central town.
Ultimate proof, there you go.Save save save!!0 -

Sounds like a plan
Errr, I don't actually have to buy one do I?"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.

This thread has cheered me up no end today.
Time we had a good light hearted thread.
Now, anyone know where there are any single ladies that like golf? I'm too old to be doing night clubs and all that malarky.
On Gucci......I never fully understood the obsession with labels. I get a lot of my clothes made, which sounds ostentatious, but really it isn't. I can get a tailor made suit for far less than an off the peg designer...
Try these people:-

Shirts I buy from a company in Paris who used to have a store in New Bond Street which closed, but now have an on line store (tip, the more you buy the cheaper they get - and these are as nice if not better than Thomas Pink):-

Combine money saving with looking good....perfect!
My only nod in the direction of a designer is Ralph Lauren, and only because He makes clothes that fit real people:)
Ah yes - but methinks Yant will still have to pay a little more than £3 for a pair of jeans.
The thing with looking good is having an eye - I *have* got dresses that cost me £100s, and I have got dresses that cost me a fiver. And *shock horror* I own an LV bag . But I will have that bag forever, whereas my £10 one will do a year or two.
You don't have to spend a fortune to look good - but dressing oneself isn't an exercise in buying the cheapest possible of everything just because it's cheap.0 -
The only that really matters IMO is personality and the way you act generally, and specifically around woman.
money , propertym flash cars etc are just easy excuses. If a woman feels attraction to someone, they won't care about anything else. How many woman fall for people they shouldn't or have been warned about? It's not a conscious decision most of the time.
Don't be too nice, to start with at least and never be wussy. You have to be an alphaish male. Confident, proud and assured. Doesn't mean you have to be mean, but you don't need their approval/acceptance.0 -
You could dress a loser in an armani suits and give him 1k to spend on a good night out and (short of hookers) he'll do much worse than a confident guy who's good with woman dressed in a £10 george outfit.
It's confidence that is attractive. If wearing expensive clothes gives you more, then it might possibly be helpful, but it's just a confidence plaster.0 -

Louis Vuitton. Theres one designer accessory I really don't get, it doesn't even look very nice, but I guess you're buying an image rather than just a bag.
Still, I watched a documentary on this company a year or so ago and was amused to find that none of their bags are even leather, they're all plastic, specially produced plastic, but plastic nonetheless. I found that rather amusing.0 -
Wouldn't surprise me. You don't even get quality with most "designer" stuff. It's just a rip off preying on snobs, vain insecure people and wannabes.
Make pretty much anything really expensive and "exclusive" and gullible people will happily buy it to show they've got money (or used to anyway!).0 -
Yant, have you thought about shedding a bit of the weight? it'll probably help your lovelife, well being, health and finances.0

I'm 6` 5" and think 16 stone 's probably around my ideal weight.0
