0845 and 0844 phone numbers. Companies with no alternatives

the expense of calling 0845 and 0844 phone numbers is high on most networks Lots of companies do offer a Regional Phone number alternative . So lets name and shame.

If saynoto0870 doesn't list an alternative, with companies who deal internationally (like credit cards), it's alway worth trying their "If you're calling from overseas" number, which is invariably a UK landline. Mind you, one I tried that with detected I was calling from the UK and played a recording telling me to call the 0845 number before hanging up. It even did that when I withheld my number. I'd name & shame them, but can't remember who they were and took my business elsewhere.

Santander cannot find another number for them, if you try the international number you get the recording telling you to use the original 0845 number.

No site gives another number for them.

Loads of numbers on SAYNOTO0870. Many of them suggest using a mobile to call, presumably this hides whether you are calling from overseas or not.

You can use weq4u with a landline for some 0845 numbers too. But on some numbers you just get a message from weq4u that they won't take the call, or something like that. Anyway, it appears numbers are able to block calls from weq4u.

They cant put all calls through because they dont always have alternative number to use.

Say No To 0870 gives lots of numbers that work including

0800 80 80 80 which connects you to all depts.
