Either they are having supply issues or simply its a non performing SKU and gets dropped.
Any product that doesn't justify its existence on the shelf space has to go, despite the sentimentality of a handful of customers. Its good business practice.0 -
I asked in store about the cream cleaner and their staff aren't privy to that information, it's on a need to know basis and apparently they don't need to know.0

The staff in my Lidl dont know a Lychee from a Watermelon so I doubt they know the purchasing strategies over the next 12 months.0

One could argue that its not good business practice to pee off customer who buy the product being discontinued, although I do agree with your point.0 -
They stopped selling olive oil a while back. It seems that they were negotiating a new contract with a supplier.0

It's Lidl's own brand, so it seems a bit odd that they would stop selling it...

Is it really discontinued or just out of stock? The local one ran out of bananas one week and they used the space for something else! Sometimes things disappear from Lidl and reappear a few weeks later.
Yes but it's produced by a brewery and poured into bottles with their client's brand on it (in this case Lidl). Perhaps the brewery's gone out of business or, as I have said in my previous post, Lidl are renegotiating the contract.0 -
Bearing in mind their buses model and warehousing / logistics, coupled with their growing market share atm, it is highly likely IMO that it is simply OOS. In my local store alone a guy recommended it to my husband so I assume it's quite popular.
I noticed that their car food disappeared or became hard to get for a few months, now it's appeared back in plentiful supply. In the interim the shelf ticket was removed and something else was put in its place. From a customer perspective this is annoying not knowing if it's discontinued or merely OOS, but I can also see the store perspective that empty shelf space is not profitable.
Why not give customer services a call or drop them an email? They might be able to assist.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
