Sim free iPhone 6 64gb - Where can i buy cheaply?

I know the title is a contradiction since £600+ for a phone is far from cheap but i am on an inexpensive sim only deal with vodafone and would like to upgrade to an iPhone 6 64gb and have the cash available.

I have looked at Apple store directly, but wonder if anyone has got a phone cheaper than the £619 advertised price? I do have quidco so could use that - but if anyone has recent experience (not Ebay - it's full of scammers where A+ conditon phones are likely to be locked or with dents in them) of a retail or online shop that offers some discount i would be grateful! I can pay by credit card to get online protection if required.

Cheers, David

This is slightly off topic but I'm wondering if given the current Euro exchange rate it would be beneficial sourcing an iPhone from the continent. It's 799 Euros for the 64GB model which is around £571.

Tried it on the Irish Apple store but the delivery country can't be changed. Any workarounds I wonder.

I'm sure you could. The delivery address country is the sticking point. I guess if you're brave you could put your address in, and add 'United Kingdom' in the last field where you can enter optional info. Your address would read:

    1 Your Street
    Your Town
    Your Postcode
    United Kingdom
    Ireland

Not sure how well that would work though!

try carphone warehouse they are £539 in there.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

I'm guessing that'll be the 16gb model, not the 64gb one the OP wants.

Xmas Saver! I've been Money Tipped!
I got mine from smartfonestore. They are 'second hand' and graded but I got grade b and it looks pristine. Also it was bought only 8 days before I bought it so I have essentially the full years warranty.

My 64gb iPhone 6 was around 490 incl postage if I rememver correctly

Apple may be expensive but you know what you get, Apple supplied phones are unlocked and will stay so regardless of the sim you put in. I've been told GiffGaff phone are the same but don't know first hand.

All too often you hear of people who have bought a phone and then XX months later it stops working when the seller has then reported it as stolen and claiming on insurance. By that point you'll have no-comeback on EBay or Paypal as they limit claims to 6 months.
If you really must buy a used one use a store where you have some comeback.

Carphone warehouse supplied "sim free" iPhones WILL lock to the network of the first sim used. Its clearly stated on the web site oh the Sim Free iphone page. Strange definition of Sim Free but at least they clearly tell you.
