Insurance claim stress!

Keep the pressure on A Ex to get things moving (they have a vested interest in allowing it to rumble on!)
Quentin is quite correct.
AX have probably looked at the supporting evidence and think it's a slam dunk as far as establishing blame is concerned. So knowing that, they are happy to just let the other side hang themselves as the meter is running on the hire claim.
As I said earlier, an exempt consumer hire agreement can only last 85 days before a new agreement will have to be signed by you. So they will usually review the position at that point, but knowing AX, they will probably be happy to let the hire continue.
Their main line of hire stuff is prestige hires and I have been to their impressive facility at Hams Hall and the range of vehicles is staggering, Bentley Contis, Astons, R8's etc. Seen plenty of hire invoices from them over £100k!
They are aggressive when it comes to litigation and the insurance industry do not like them due to all the tussles that have gone on through the courts, although they got a hiding on a court of appeal case a few weeks ago.0 -
Damage to the othe parties car is on the front bumper. Directly under the nearside headlight.

It helps to prove he drove into the door, but it doesn't rule out the door had only just been opened into his path. This is where your witness counts.
A lesson with the benefit of hindsight; should have made a request for the CCTV at the time in order to nail it down.0 -
I have sent pictures of my vehicle and the other vehicle. My claims manager agrees that the damage is consistent with them hitting my open door! They are waiting for Hastings to review the pictures. They just seem to take forever to do it. I sent them in AGAIN 3 weeks ago!0

The garage said I needed the police to get the CCTV footage but AX said the witness statement would be enough.0

So I've had a lease renewal through the post yesterday.
I'm hoping by not renewing that I may get things moving as they're not making any money off of my claim any more!
Next week it'll be 3 MONTHS since the accident! Still no news, still the same old excuses -
"We couldn't get through"
"the claims manger was unavailable"
"I've left a message and am waiting for a reply"
I'm getting sick and tired of the same old stuff over and over again.0 -

.....
Have your circumstances recently changed that you no longer need a vehicle?
You previously will have agreed that you do need this replacement and cannot pay for it yourself.
By refusing it now you may open a much bigger can - resulting in you getting the bill for the hire up till your decision you no longer need it.0 -
Hmmm I didn't think about that. I'll have to speak with them.
I've been wondering, who covers the bill if they don't reciver the charges from the third party? My insurance doesn't have courtesy car cover either, so I'm very concerned!0 -

I have been 100% honest from the get go!
It just feels as if the whole thing is going nowhere. 3 months is rediculous in my eyes!0
