Would be interesting to do a VIN scan of the ECU to see if they are trying to pull a fast one.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

I brought the car for 9500 which at the time was about the average on the cars on autotrader. It was 4th on the listing page.0

I doubt it. The photos from the advert certainly display many of the attributes of the car which has been inspected.0 -

Even so they bought the car after inspecting it in a private sale.
They now own the car.
If they wanted an in depth inspection report they should have had one done before they own the car.
Unless the OP is trader, they have no real prospect of recourse under the law.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Its a 62 plate diesel manual. Position in terms of price mileage and age0

04: - Locking wheel nut missing from Right front wheel (no wheel stud at all).
It was missing a wheel nut and the buyer didn't notice or comment?
From the pictures it does look like the front right panel looks a different colour, though.
I'd be checking with whoever claimed to issue the report, even if it was a letterheaded PDF.
But it does look like you sold them a lemon. Not that it's your problem unless you were dishonest about it. At least you didn't try to cover it up.0 -

Oops, the OP has form for this I should have remembered.0 -

I didn't say anything to the contrary. Far from it, I'm pointing out the fact that it looks pretty obviously repaired even from the tiny photos we've seen.
I have NEVER said the purchaser has a right to recourse, in fact I've already advised the OP to ignore this joker, but based on the vehicle presented to us, I can sympathise with the buyer; especially since based on what we've seen, the 'illegal number plate' on its own *technically* renders the vehicle unroadworthy, and selling it in that state is, unfortunately, an offence; so if the buyer does choose to strenuously pursue the OP then there *is* a risk to them.
I know what to look for but if they don't I can understand why they'd be peeved to find out the car's been damage/repaired, and if the condition is as bad as Dekra (assuming genuine) make out, with a bent subframe etc, then they have every right to be.0 -
Confirmed with Dekra that a vehicle of that reg was inspected but they won't give me any other details.
@BeenThroughIt should I negotiate and pursue the dealer who sold me the vehicle?0
