Problems with this advice.
A private seller is not a vendor and Fit for purpose does not apply to private sales.
The time to get the car inspected was before it was bought.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
OP, wait for official court papers and go from there.
When was the vehicle first registered and when did you buy the car?
Would like to see a link to the original advert, to see how bad the panel gaps are."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -
Funny that someone would go to all the trouble of typing up that pretend report. Whatever school boy timewaster who did it really needs a life.0

From the part of the post you did not quote. That's the report by Dekra Engineer. The number plate is deemed illegal as three letters have become fainter in colour. But this was the same when I advertised the vehicle.
I understand Dekra to be a long established and well respected vehicle inspection firm, unless anyone knows differently?

It is strongly advised that you contact the vendor and formally reject the vehicle and seek a return of your money.
I suggest this option, because to repair will be a lengthy and costly repair ......
The engineer suggests another option to the purchaser (repair) which is the only option he can use from the engineers "advice" on what to do next!0 -
Would be handy to show to DEKRA a copy of this, "report" to end this fantasy. They will be keen to protect their reputation from someone copying (badly) their style and who didn't measure panel gaps, paint thickness, test drive or check the cars data. Bogus tale from start to finish.0

In the photo posted in the advertisement I do indeed see that the wheel nut is missing. I ll concede that point.
Images from report. The report is in pDF format with dekra letterhead.

Makes sense to just ask dekra if the produced the report or not as you are not sure of the validity of it.
I'm sure they'd confirm if they did x inspection on y vehicle.0 -

I quoted the whole post. You'll notice it has been edited. Why would I ask the question if the answer was in the post I was quoting?
Unlike some users of forums, I actually like to read the whole post before replying.0 -

The photos from the ad certainly do look like the front end's been painted and the panel gaps are all over the place. When I look at ads those are the sort of things I look out for, and I would have quickly passed on that car if I'd seen those photos.
How much did you pay for the car when you bought it? Was it significantly cheaper than others?0
