I didn't receive any emails*. At the end of the process they asked for a password, responses to 4 questions (e.g. parent's first names, first school) and a question of my choosing with an answer. Once past this there was a page that showed my username, personal reference number, and account code, all of which were generated by iWeb.

*EDIT: I did actually receive an email from them with username.

I applied for a iWeb S&S ISA yesterday evening but don't know if the application has been accepted as I have not heard back from iWeb. The debit card that I registered with them has reserved the £1 charge so I'm hoping it's gone through!

Those that have opened a iWeb account - did you receive an email confirmation when you applied? And do they post you out the username and password to be able to sign in?

Same here. I called them they said the application is going through and I have only been charged the £25. I was told to expect an email in the next few days.

Yes, I received an email with confirmation of the username that they had chosen for me - initial+surname+numbers.

I had seen the username at the end of the online sign-up process, I chose my own password as part of that process.

Hoping its going to be the same for me too! They are probably busy with all the last minute account applications.

I was not asked for the security questions that others have said they were asked when registering. I will call them tomorrow if I have not heard anything from them.

See posts 32 & 33 in this thread. You have to click on and read the terms and conditions, before you can tick a box to indicate that you have done so, before you can complete the application.

Were you able to tick that box and continue?

It almost caught me out because I did a right-click and "open in a new tab." This did not activate the tick box.

Yes I did thanks, was aware of that bit (id read post 32 & 33 before applying), and I was able to tick the box and continue, then a final box came up and I thought I had printed it out for my records but it didn't.

I'm pretty certain my application has gone through, as the £1 charge is showing against my debit card. I will give iWeb a call tomorrow to confirm if I have not heard from them.

I will know tomorrow and post the outcome. Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know how the £25 fee appears or is taken? Does it get taken from debit card or does it need money paid in?

Pay the fee into the non-ISA Share Dealing Account. http://www.iweb-sharedealing.co.uk/products/self-select-stocks-and-shares-isa.asp

Just to make life more complicated, they're giving what seems to be an AMC rather than an OCF.

They list the fee for the A class as 0.10% but OCF seems to be 0.30% in KIID and on Trustnet http://www.trustnet.com/Factsheets/tnuk/FactSheet.aspx?fundCode=I1F0J&univ=O
    Careful there.

Although overall satisfied with iWeb, they are a bit naughty showing just the AMC on the 'Landing Page' for the fund. You need to check the KIID to get the Ongoing Charges, which is what matters (and is the 'official' figure funds use nowadays).

I was just having a look at iWeb's share class offering too. The best Fidelity Index World is the W class at 0.2% I think. They list the I class and P class (0.15% and 0.18%) in the drop down list but have a note that they aren't allowed to offer them. For me, going from P to W will cost £44000*0.0002 = £8.80 per annum, so I'll still save over £100 per annum. Looking forward to your thread.

I emailed iWeb, telling them I have the P class and asking if I could do an in specie transfer to iWeb even though iWeb say they aren't allowed to offer it for sale. They responded that they can receive P class in specie. Just logged onto iWeb as I am a bit of a skeptic and now they have A, I, P, and W classes all apparently available for purchase :)

Phoned up on Tuesday and after checking with the registrations dept the lady on the phone confirmed that they have received my application and are in the process of issuing me my account details - she said my application was received at 23.58 on Sunday, so I just made the deadline!

On Wednesday I received two emails from iWeb, one giving me my username (need this to complete the final stage of online registration) and telling me that I will be receiving my password by post in a couple of days.
The 2nd email contained my Personal Reference Number that I would need to use should I have to write/call them. Also the 2nd email requested 2x documents from their approved list for I.D. checks (I have always passed any I.D. checks electronically before this application with iWeb), they accept originals or certified copies (they told me I can get them certified in a Halifax branch).

Got my temporary password in the post, managed to login to my account and change it to one I will remember easier.

edit: Today received a 4 digit security pin from them in the post - its needed as part of the security check should you need to call them.
