It's impossible to apply at the moment, as it's impossible to tick the confirmation about reading and understanding the terms and conditions.
edit: worked on 5th choice of browser (IE on PC)Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Thanks, but I did open them each time.
Oddly, it's reserved a £1 charge 6 times over, even from the apparently unsuccessful tries, including one when I didn't proceed and changed my mind about which account to use.0 -
I already opened an S&S ISA (transferred in from Virgin cash ISA) with Charles Stanley this year, so I think this means I can't open another S&S ISA. So can I apply for a share dealing account, pay the £25, and then open an S&S ISA in April without paying any extra fees?
Only a few hours left, so a fast reply needed please!0 -

Yes. You can open an ISA too, ready to transfer into from an existing one. Just don't put any money in before 6 April if you've already invested this year.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Yes, I've done exactly that.0 -

Does anyone know how the £25 fee appears or is taken? Does it get taken from debit card or does it need money paid in?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

ETA: Having said that, there's no debit balance on my account opened 13/3/1513.3 We may charge a one off initial account opening fee for each new account opened. Details of that charge can be found in the charging schedule. You agree that we will collect this charge from monies paid into your account. Please see our website for further details (https://www.iweb-sharedealing.co.uk/charges).
Perhaps they'll wait till we pay some money in? But note also they have a right of set-off against any LBG account.13.11 We may collect charges, interest and other costs due to us under this agreement by debiting any account that you hold with us or any member of the Lloyds Banking Group in accordance with Condition 11.0 -
The setup fee should appear as a £25 debit in the Cash Statement in your Share Dealing Account(CMA), in about one or two working days of the account being opened. So, in Vortigern's case, sometime on Monday or Tuesday.0
