To the OP, did the fixed penalty have an offence code or offence description? In other words, was the offence jumping a red light or was it entering a box reserved for cyclists?

    EDIT

Actually, the OP does state that it's offence code 160. Googling shows that this is contravening a red traffic light, yet all official sites (like the Government one) have offences starting with letters - SP30 (Exceeding statutory speed limit on a public road), TS10 (Failing to comply with traffic light signals), etc.

It would just be good to know exactly what offence had been commited.

I think you are confusing offence codes (those that appear on fixed penalty notices) with endorsement codes (as shown on your counterpart driving licence). Two entirely different beasts. Offence code 160 provides the answer, I suggest.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

#31 I think it is perfectly reasonable to expect cyclists to ride to the left more or less in single file. If they are permitted to ride 2 or 3 abreast at their own leisurely pace for as long as they desire then the whole traffic stream behind will have to follow at the same pace..for how many miles?
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

If the OP is a regular driver in the centre of London then they must be aware that the police have been watching major junctions for months on and off

They are also doing cyclists who ignore the lights , wrong way down one way streets , make illegal right/left turns etc

Not saying the offence is valid
