Do you have a name for them ?
Blair was leading the labour party when he started the never ending war we are still fighting was he not.
You really need a bucket of cold water over you to wake you up from this slumber of name calling and open your eyes.
You mean the non-native insurgents who were training in Pakistan, and then attacking local civilians as well as the military. The military who were in both countries at the request of their respectively democratically elected governments I should.
I really think you should you know what you're talking about, before talking about it. I'm surprised you didn't call it a war for oil, and then finish of with "jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams".0 -

What's you opinion on how the Arab Spring uprising would have affected Afghanistan (which is what led to many of the problems facing the ME today - especially with the DAESH)? What do you suppose would have happened when Saddam died anyway? Do you think there may have been a situation similar to what was seen when he was removed by the Allied forces anyway?
The ISIS/ISIL (DAESH...) you speak of, I assume (who are fighting now), do you think this is an argument as to why there should have been a better military response from the West to the events in Syria?
Please respond, as I assume you have such a fantastic grip of current affairs, Middle Eastern Politics (the brown people, as you say), I could probably learn from your analysis skills.0 -

So it has to be a policy, rather than an event such as a UKIP councillor going on national TV and saying how much she "dislikes negroes*"?
*a word I find abhorrent but was deemed acceptable to be broadcast on TV, therefore should be acceptable to use to illustrate my point.0 -

I think you'll find Blair took us into an illegal war for which we are still suffering the effects from.
It has been acknowledged by experts that the toppling of Saddam was a mistake as the situation there is much worse than when he was in power. Blair and Bush went in totally mis-understanding the complexities of the Middle East. I could be wrong but I assume that was the point being made.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”

No. It was not illegal.
Why do you think it was illegal? Immoral yes, but illegal doubtful. Try not to get the two confused, although I've give you that's easily done. And as a comparison, Kosovo in 1999 was an illegal war, but it was the moral thing to do.
So you admit that Saddam was the key factor - so how can you be confident that when Saddam naturally passed away, we would not have had the same situation anyway? Personally, I think it would have likely happened anyway.
The only difference being there would not have been international intervention in place to meet the trouble head on (remember the people fighting against us in Iraq were not Iraqis defending their homes, but foreign insurgents attacking a democratically elected government and its citizens).0 -
O/T question: is it just co-incidence that geerex and JustOnce have the same avatar?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0
