Thanks! I'll buy one for the future.
Now all being well this wont cost a lot to repair.

I daren't actually test to see if the power is still working from the supporting plug socket or if it was the arial that was hit.

If you are not sure which you hit, so long as the power is off it is fairly easy to tell the difference. If it is power it should be a grey wire, rectangular, with three cores, if it is coax it will be brown or black, circular, and you might see some copper mesh where you have drilled
