    Good morning everyone :hello:
OK, the 64000 dollar question, has anyone been brave enough to try BNI today?

Would have thought should match £1.90 now.

NONE! not even fizzy water :( apparently it causes discolouration on the teeth. I'm not a chemistry person but I'm guessing the carbonated thing must react with the metal on the Braces? or something?

We were told in no uncertain terms if he was non compliant, his treatment would stop! the funding to get Braces is very scarce and the criteria is very strict. DS2 teeth catch on his bottom lip and it does affect his speech quite badly so he qualifies. But......and I think quite fairly, you have to stick to quite strict rules to keep it up.

He's 13 and one of the conditions is that his dental hygiene is tip top. that means I spend twice a day every day brushing a teenagers teeth :o he won't do it up to scratch. so I do it. He will have enough to deal with in future years. I hope by doing what I am now, he won't have dental problems to add to that.

Fairclaire my DS (14) had braces for 2 years. They were removed February just gone. He was also under threat from the orthodontist of having treatment removed if he didn't keep up his oral hygiene and brush his teeth properly. He could have fizzy drinks but had to use a straw to minimise the contact the drink had with his teeth. He also had to rinse his mouth out once the drink was finished to remove any drink that might have strayed.

He found the easiest toothbrush to use were the small electric ones for kiddies (think cars, batman etc.). The orthodontist said that they were perfect too and much easier for kids to use than the small ones usually recommended for use with braces. There is also a better chance of getting a proper clean with an electric toothbrush than a manual one.

My DS had no stains when his braces were removed :D

I can't find hide nor hair of them when searching for them, yet I can see them when I click on Munquis links.
Maybe they're stuck in Ts cache? (Doesn't explain The Scotland result CoT just mentioned)
I'd say it's still extremely risky now

morning all, pouring with rain and very miserable here

last year someone on Elite gave me a very useful link to make "golden tickets" - they look like boarding passes with your name on and details of your destination and dates etc

does anyone know what I am on about pretty please and if so do you still have the link - I really need to bookmark it.

I've got a very nice piece of thin cardboard which will look very authentic - just have to think where I put it now :D

I did this for OH last year, made a golden ticket and everyone was very impressed esp as it was home made - it got more coos of admiration than the presents! Last year I took OH away for a magical mystery trip but it was a few weeks after his birthday so this was so he had something to open.

This year I am doing something similar but less spectacular - he actually knows where he is going as I told him to book some days off work - since then he has forgotten where it is so it will still be a surprise :)

Hugs to those in need (and any not in need but in want!) and congrats to CoT!

    Have a great day everyone.
