did anyone enter the Cedar Court mothers day draw I posted up yesterday - I got the sorry you did not win email
But if you are in York anyway on Sunday this looks good - they used to have once a month tours and we went once, very interesting to see back stage.
York Theatre Royal
Open Day, Sunday 15 March
Before we close our doors for our major redevelopment, we’d like to give you the opportunity to explore our buildings in their current configuration.
The free Open Day will be a chance to find out about the work that will be done during 2015, a chance to meet our staff, go back stage, try on costumes, leave your memories in a time capsule and help us give parts of the building a good send off.
Activities to take part in during the day include:
• Self-guided tours around the building
• A children's treasure hunt
• Open rehearsals and workshop sessions
• The ever popular Friends of York Theatre Royal tombola
• Talks on the history of the building
• Chance to visit the De Grey Ballroom
• Stalls, refreshments and other activities
11am - 4pm
FREE Entry
Open Day is free, however we will be making bucket collections during the day for people to make a donation to our redevelopment project. We hope to raise £300 in order to buy a seat in the new auditorium on behalf of all our visitors on Open Day, so please dig deep!
We look forward to welcoming you to the theatre on Sunday.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Good afternoon honeybunnies, I hope all are well and happy.
RL pretty busy at the moment, so apologies for my absence. I've got a second little job with a neighbouring authority but just on weekdays, so between the two I shall be quite busy/absolutely cream crackered this summer!Hope is not a strategy.0 -

I know lots of people don't understand, and think its just a cat, but she was such a character, and a huge part of our family. I had her before I had my children, and she was so loved by all of us.
Will be very strange not to have a cat in the house any more, but with a big holiday followed by my surgery in the summer, now isn't the time to be thinking of getting one. Definitely will at some point though.
So sorry about your cat.I'd be lost without mine.0 -
tattybonce have hopefully replied to your PM but not sure if sent - I can't find where to reply to PM's!! A bit new at this!!
If it doesn't come through let me know and I will try again0 -

Unfortunately I have had a very sad day. When we came down this morning, my cat had lost the use of her back legs. Took her to the vets, and as she is 18, the kindest thing to do was to let her go.
Am devastated. Was a complete wailing mess in the vets. Have brought her home to bury her in the garden with her brother, who passed away last year.
so sorry ladyshopper must be hard for you but at least you put her first and she is not suffering, but I imagine she will be a great lose to you and your family xxxx0 -
