    Thanks, Roland. :)

Father has quite an interesting life story. Today he decided he wanted to walk the dogs with my mother and I. That was a sloooooow walk. :rotfl: Also had the tenant 'check out' today, as I was dealing with that on my own, I felt quite the grown up before realising at 34 I should actually be a grown up. :o Now to find someone to move into the property ...

  • How's Little K doing now? Hope he's better.

(Also - have we had any puppy pics yet? :) )

He's worse and not been to school today. :( Think I've caught it now also.

Not going to get away with no puppy pictures, am I? :rotfl: She's so full of life that I'll have to see if she'll stay still for a minute at some point.

  • Aw no! Feel better soon, both of you. There's loads of bugs and colds and all sorts going around at the moment, always seems to be at the change of season.

    And nope ;)

Son is getting a little better and has been to our GP today, so I think it'll be back to school next week. I've realised my state of mind is a lot better when he's not at school because I'm not thinking about what they are doing during the day there. However, I've also realised it's good for him to be there with his peers. I know I need to stop interrogating my son about his day at school and trying to control things.

I managed to get a little work done to the tiles in the bathroom today. Hopefully by this time next year they'll be gone but it's not costing much to regrout.

Regeouting makes such a difference - well done :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • Alex! Help!! I dropped my grandfather's Parker fountain pen and it landed nib-first on a wooden floor :(:(:(:( Needless to say, the nib is not very happy. I tried gently straightening it back out with jeweller's pliers, but no ink is flowing. Can you recommend anywhere I can send it for repair, please?

Not completed it yet but it is starting to look a little better. We have started trying to design a new bathroom. Mrs K wants it to be all very modern with a separate shower but I want it to be in keeping with the house. Whilst we can't agree, impatience is growing as we know that we won't be living with it in the current state for much longer.

... I just really hope Mrs K doesn't get her way as I really don't want it to look completely out of place with the rest of the house. :(

Alex have you and Mrs K looked at the vintage yet contemporary bathrooms on places such as pinterest? Some fabulous walk in showers but within keeping of an old property - sure there's a compromise you can make ;)
