Also a lot of smaller cars these days are 2x2 seatbelt wise so an unexpected bun in the oven.....
Reason why we sold a KA after 7 months. Had a Micra as a courtesy car a couple of months ago, wasn't impressed, just about fitted the baby seat in but had to fold a seat down for the pushchair.
I requested a Note the following time, so much better, tons of space and sliding seats.0 -
Right, managed to get one moved to the Evans Halshaw in Preston -a 2011 (61) reg Fiesta which has done under 23,000 miles and only 1 owner.
Will probably be ready Thursday/Friday going by the discussions I've had with them. Obviously will be taking it for a test drive & will get a HPI check done.
Any tips I should take note of/use?0 -
Make sure you know how much they are charging you to bring the car to your local dealer before negotiating on price.0

Have to admit I'm getting more than a little concerned - quite a number of people slagging off and warning me about Evans Halshaw.
Anyone on here with any experiences of dealing with them?0 -
Have you driven a Fiesta auto in anything other than driving lesson/test conditions? A truly awful way to blow money, especially if you are borrowing to do it. Couple that to buying from EH and I think you should draw breath, track down a firm hiring them out, hire one for a normal week for you and see if you really think the auto is a car you can live with.0

Saw the car and took it for a test drive today. Have to say I really do like it - very comfortable drive, great handling etc.
Now for the hard part - they won't negotiate the price as its the lowest they can go. They also won't budge on the vehicle admin fee which includes status checks etc.
Did mention the one at Arnold Clark but they also mentioned that other dealerships aren't as 'transparent' as them with hidden costs etc.
So all in all, I would be paying £7,215 (also includes the £99 for 6 months road tax).
Is this worth it for a 4yr old Fiesta Zetec 1.4 automatic - 61 reg, under 23,000 miles and only 1 previous owner?0 -
I refused to pay the vehicle admin fee and they took it off the cost. They try and tell you they have no choice - they do0

Other than that cheeky trying to make me pay that fee, I had no other issues with EH really.0

Cheers. The sales guys seemed to make it adamant I have to pay the admin fee although I have stated to them that its 'off-putting'.
Going to give them a ring tomorrow to see if they will take it off, otherwise I may just forget it.
Genuinely do like & want the car though.0 -
The car tax seems high for 6 months. Have you checked out the full year cost.
