I had no credit rating as I never ever had a credit card loan etc therefore was just trying to build it up.

I've never had a credit card or loan but had no problem getting a mortgage (albeit with one of my current account holders, who could clearly see my income, saving and expenditure patterns). Sounds like there are a lot of myths floating about.
    They are an EYESORES!!!!

Great news! Still waiting to hear here, but as it was only submitted on Monday this is not at all surprising really!! No sign of further activity on Equifax or Experian yet either.

As I said, at underwriting stage, not at submission.

NatWest is the one lender brokers are told to steer completely clear of where there is;-

visible PDL activity in the last year
    and/or
visible current account poor conduct, such as unpaid or unauthorised borrowing charges in the last three months.

Don't take my word for it, phone Birmingham and ask them yourself anonymously 0845 900 1110. I don't want your application to be declined, I'm suggesting you plan for the worst though.

I'm sorry but they don't automatically decline you.. I have just been accepted subject to valuation with natwest. I have PDL that show on my Equifax.. Last one 11 months ago.. I bank with Natwest and they were happy with the affordability etc..
If you bank with natwest, you may be ok! :)
