umm YOU WILL appeal it , if only to cost the scum £27 , if you loose and are not confident then you can pay <spit> they cant increase costs anymore UNLESS it goes to court ,
there are a couple of companies that would do a "direct line" ie: make it go away , cost you about £18 , hows that!0 -
umm op has a problem , wishes to appeal but car was only bought last week so no log book , this one is out of my knowledge , can someone send him to the right template , prob same as company car one
ps , car belongs to his wife (or will do)

Either she will get a Notice to Keeper or the previous keeper will. If the previous keeper gets the NtK then the poor beggar will find himself having to prove he flogged the car. If he succeeds in doing so, it will be too late (ref PoFA) for PPS to send a NtK to the OP's wife.
So, tough on the previous owner though it may be, the OP just sits tight and comes back here if/when she gets anything from PPS in the post.Je suis Charlie.0 -
expecting logbook any time now as my motorbike took 3 weeks a few months back when I bought it. so I will appeal but do I wait for NTK then before appeal and not the 14 days it says on the PCN, these companies are scum man what I can tell they prey on people who know no better its a good job guys like you are around0
-
the 14 days is the notice to driver to pay a discounted sum, (entrapment)
wait for the NTK as is mentioned in the NEWBIES sticky thread, then the RK appeals as keeper, as it says in the NEWBIES sticky thread, then the RK takes it to popla , as it says in the NEWBIES sticky thread
you will notice a theme here, following the NEWBIES sticky thread (which is supposed to stop us having to type it out over and over and over and over and over again)0 -
Whether you've got the registration document in your possession is irrelevant, what matters is whether the DVLA had updated their records by the time the PPC applied for keeper details. If not, then the previous keeper will get the NtK, and by the time they've sorted the mess out they will be out-of-time for sending a NtK to your wife and there will be no keeper liability, which will be a major appeal point.
But if your wife does get an in-time NtK then she appeals and wins in the normal way. Either way, I repeat, just wait and see what arrives (and when).Je suis Charlie.0 -
