The A12
Yesterday I travelled on the A12 from Brentwood to Ipswich.
There are two very long stretches of 40MPH sections with average speed cameras.
There is no sign of any road works or workmen working.
Could this just of been put in place as a revenue generating process?

Have you looked up the TROs?0

Where exactly are these cameras?0

They tend to install the average speed cameras long before the roadworks start. To allow people to get used to them before the work starts? As they are not normally operational intil roadworks begins but being able to see a small sign prompt against the pole telling you that is very hard to see (intentionally?)0

The cameras and works at Brentwood have been up for weeks. I think the other lots of works are south of the Copdock interchange at Ipswich and again have been there for some time. No idea what the works are though. The road is always wearing out and needing resurfacing so might be that. I think they are putting permanent average speed cameras at the Kelvedon by pass as well.0

They may of been there sometime but they are still not doing a work there which makes me think they are revenue generating0 -
