If your broker has said it will be the end of the week before you hear anything, why would you call her today? If she does get an update earlier than expected, she will let you know.
Other peoples cases and timelines are not relevant to your case as there are different circumstances.
Give your broker the opportunity to respond as promised and keep you up to date. Your calling her between times will not speed things up and just creates more stress for everyone.
If she does not come back to you by the end of the week as promised then you should be asking why you have not been kept informed.I am a Mortgage Broker

Thanks ACG that helps me stay calm a little, after being declined by one provider were just so nervous we will be declined again and have to start again.0

Dont worry about being declined by one lender.
I regularly speak to people who have been declined elsewhere and we get it through at high street rates - sometimes better than what they originally applied for!I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. You could be in for a bit of a wait yet. My application has now entered its fourth week. Valuation completed this week and will hear the result on Monday. It has been a long wait I am glad it is almost over. Hopefully soon I will be a home owner.0

Bit out of date so maybe not too relevant but when we bought ours with natwest (sept '14) it took less than 4 weeks from app to receiving keys, was very impressed0

Hi. My experience of Natwest so far is they have been pretty efficient.
AIP obtained 2nd March
Applied fully (through broker) 3rd March
Requested additional docs- sent 6th March
Application approved subject to satisfactory valuation 11th March
Call from surveyors 12th March
Survey booked 17th March(surely got to be a lucky sign- valuation on St Pats day!)
Fingers crossed if there are no demons in the valuation will have an offer by end of next week hopefully.0 -
That was good mrbendy. I dont understand why ours is taking so long, its now the end of the week and still no news, im really beginning to think its either bad news or something is lost somewhere.0

Start of a new week fingers crossed we hear something this week0

NatWest are looking at our application today as extra docs requested - our full application went in via broker exactly a week ago.
Good luck!0 -
We had issues with our valuation and lost paperwork so were unlucky- 7 weeks...0
