It was just over 2 weeks from application to valuation (told all was ok subject to valuation 2 weeks from full application), valuation took place within 48 hours of that notification. Few days after valuation told that they had a back log in the offers team, so it's taken just over a week from valuation to receive it in post today. Done through a Broker, self employed, single applicant, HTB...quite happy with it all so far.

If your happy thats the main thing but I dont think there have been any delays - none of mine have been held up.

I did 3 with natwest in December and 2 in February and all have flew through (as in offers within 14 days from application).

I suppose so long as it goes to offer you dont really mind a bit of a delay though do you.

yes you're right, happy to get the offer really!

Is there anything else they do after offer? Re checking etc? Nothing has or will change between now and completion my end but won't rest easy until I have the keys!

Broker says they are happy with everything but wondered if they check everything again before releasing funds?

I use them fairly regularly and the only one of my cases they have checked was my first.

I think you will be fine once you have an offer.

my application was sent of wednesday but most recent bank statement not until friday afternoon. I spoke to the broker today who said there was a bit of a backlog but she is hoping to hear something by friday, i presume she is hoping to hear if its gone through and then the valuation will begin. Not only do the sellers want to complete by the end of the month, it would also be great for me as i have two weeks of work for easter, after that i cant have any holiday for a while, its looking tight though so i doubt it sadly

Are any other brokers on here aware of any delays?
Everything I have sent them has been looked at in 48 hours of receipt.

  • I applied through a Natwest mortgage advisor in branch on 26th Feb, received a text today to say our formal offer is in the post, so took just under 2 weeks in all. Was expecting it to be longer!

Beginning to feel a little fed up. Everyone seems to have the application come through so quick. Or maybe im just impatient lol

Our mortgage application was submitted Tuesday 3rd March, Extra bank statements were took to mortgage broker on Friday 6th. Spoke to mortgage broker tuesday this week so the 10th, was informed of backlog and hopefully we will here something today or tomorrow. This is just waiting for the actually application, not even the valuation, I gave me bank details ready for this but no money has yet come out so i know that hasn't happened yet. Don't want to contact mortgage broker again yet as they said it would be the end of the week when we hopefully hear anything. Don't understand why its taking much longer than everyone else saying they had there's done in a couple of days :(

Yesterday I sent some documents over for another application, I have been told its now 4 working days not 2 to assess paperwork so it is longer than I originally said.
